In short: Eight verified all-inclusive hotels on Gran Canaria: Paradisus leads, with all-inclusive as the resort's core concept; Gloria Palace Royal and Riu Palace Palmeras both at 8.8 for published terms and a 24-hour concept; five-star H10 Playa Meloneras, where AI is an optional board; food-led Sandy Beach and Bull Costa (two free à la carte); and transparent Gloria Palace San Agustin. Lopesan and Radisson do not sell the concept.
Gran Canaria's all-inclusive line-up is bigger than it looks — but several of the island's most famous luxury hotels don't sell the concept at all. We verified each against its official site: Lopesan Costa Meloneras, Villa del Conde and Baobab run half-board concepts, Riu Palace Maspalomas likewise, and Radisson Blu, Santa Catalina, Bohemia and Grand Hotel Residencia lack AI entirely. Riu Palace Palmeras, by contrast, is now a dedicated 24-hour AI and makes the list. That leaves eight verified houses.
The figures against each hotel are counted from real guest reviews (Booking + Google) — never estimated.
How we ranked these hotels
The order rests on guest scores, the counted themes from our review analyses and how transparent and generous the terms are — the Gloria Palace houses and Bull Costa publish exact terms and are rewarded for it. Under each hotel we explain its place.
Worth knowing about Gran Canaria
The hotels cluster along the south coast: Maspalomas/Meloneras with the dunes (Paradisus, H10, Riu — 25–30 minutes from the airport), Playa del Inglés right beside it (Riu Palace Palmeras), San Agustín just east (Sandy Beach, Bull Costa, Gloria Palace San Agustin — 20 minutes) and Amadores in the south-west (Gloria Palace Royal — 40–45 minutes). The island is swimmable year round; in winter the south side is at its cloud-free best.
Hotels we reviewed but didn't include
Openness about what fell away is part of the method. The following were checked against their official sites but didn't qualify:
- Bull Vital Suites & Spa — previously listed, removed after re-checking: the official site sells breakfast or half board only, no AI.
- Lopesan Costa Meloneras, Villa del Conde and Baobab — half-board concepts, no published AI.
- Riu Palace Maspalomas — adults-only house on breakfast/half board, not AI.
- Radisson Blu, Santa Catalina, Bohemia Suites and Grand Hotel Residencia — don't sell all inclusive at all.
If any of these launches a verifiable AI concept, the selection is reconsidered.
We analysed the 315 most recently available guest reviews (Booking + Google) across the 8 hotels below — every figure is counted, never estimated. Reviews harvested August 2026. How we count mentions.

1Gran Canaria, Spain
Service & staff: 10 of 10 mentions positive · Condition & cleanliness: 6 of 6 mentions positive
Paradisus Gran Canaria is the island's only five-star with all-inclusive as its founding concept — Destination Inclusive even weaves in activities on and off the resort.
10 of 10 counted service mentions are positive after the full renovation.
Why this rank: Our top-ranked five-star house where all inclusive is the core of the resort concept itself — and the service counts are perfect. A clear first.
2Gran Canaria, Spain
Service & staff: 17 of 22 mentions positive · Location: 13 of 13 mentions positive
Gloria Palace Royal hangs on the cliff right above Amadores' calm bay — and publishes its AI terms openly on its own site, a transparency few rivals match.
13 of 13 counted location mentions are positive.
Why this rank: Published terms, the cliff site and an 8.8 from 56 fresh reviews — transparency takes silver.
3Gran Canaria, Spain
Service & staff: 14 of 14 mentions positive · Condition & cleanliness: 9 of 9 mentions positive
Hotel Riu Palace Palmeras - All Inclusive (8.8) is Riu's Palace class in Playa del Inglés — fully renovated, with 24-hour all inclusive as the house concept and 350 metres to the island's longest beach.
Guests keep returning to the same points: sparkling clean, warm staff and a calmer pace than the chain's bigger houses.
Why this rank: Palace tier with Riu's 24-hour concept in a fully renovated house — 8.8 on Booking and sub-scores around 9.5 for cleanliness and staff justify the podium despite four stars.
4Gran Canaria, Spain
Food & restaurants: 21 of 22 mentions positive · Service & staff: 19 of 19 mentions positive
H10 Playa Meloneras Horizons Collection (8.8) is the five-star AI option on the Meloneras promenade — Gaudí-inspired design, the Despacio Spa and an official all inclusive where one buffet dinner can be swapped for à la carte at La Brasserie, Il Trastevere or Sakura per seven nights, with further visits at a discount.
Note that AI is a bookable board: make sure the right board is selected when comparing prices.
Why this rank: A five-star seafront position with an official all-inclusive board — but unlike Paradisus, AI here is a bookable board rather than the resort's core concept, and à la carte is included only as a swap dinner. That keeps it just off the podium.
5Gran Canaria, Spain
Service & staff: 9 of 9 mentions positive · The rooms: 8 of 9 mentions positive
Seaside Sandy Beach runs the German Seaside group's quality line: AI 11–23 with branded gins and rums, afternoon tea and guests who return within months.
'For families and food lovers', as one guest sums it up.
Why this rank: The quality line and returning guests impress — 8.8 places it ahead of Bull Costa, but a buffet concept with no free à la carte keeps it off the podium.
6Gran Canaria, Spain
Food & restaurants: 6 of 6 mentions positive · Location: 6 of 6 mentions positive
Bull Costa Canaria is the adults-only house by San Agustín where two à la carte restaurants are included at no charge — Don Miguel and the Don Pepe pizzeria.
The food is called 'better than 5-star hotels' in our counted reviews.
Why this rank: Two fee-free à la carte restaurants are the selection's most generous feature — the 8.7 makes it joint mid-field.
7Gran Canaria, Spain
Food & restaurants: 45 of 48 mentions positive · The rooms: 41 of 42 mentions positive
Gloria Palace San Agustin publishes generous terms: AI 10–01 with table service in every bar and restaurant — and AI extended to 6 pm on checkout day after four nights.
Its thalasso centre is the island's largest.
Why this rank: Table service and checkout-day AI are considered — the 8.6 decides the placing, not the terms.
8Gran Canaria, Spain
Service & staff: 12 of 15 mentions positive · Location: 10 of 10 mentions positive
Riu Gran Canaria runs the chain's 24-hour AI between the Maspalomas dunes and the Meloneras boardwalk.
Our counted reviews are honest: 12 of 15 service points positive, but dated corners and construction disruption occurred.
Why this rank: The 24-hour concept and location are strong — the counted wear and noise notes justify last place.
