What Guests Loved

- The property moves away from traditional Mediterranean styles, utilizing dark woods, thatched roofs, and earthy tones to create a consistent thematic environment across the communal spaces and the spacious guest rooms.

“Firstly, it’s a 15 min walk from the beach. 5 star hotel. And public beaches here. Bear that in mind. Secondly, the hotel is African motif so don’t expect everything to be modern or up-kept. Then out of the 7 restaurants, only 2 are included in the full board, so basically no point getting full board. The restaurants are buffet, one quite good, second is the extension (as you do have to queue for a table) tailored to children. Shower and toilet separate, with the shower room having a semitransparent glass partition to the room. Bear that in mind too if travelling with children. Service… well, first day, but gathered it was going to be “great” by the face the receptionist pulled when he saw our room number. “Canary islands 1 minute” was the first phrase we heard when waiting for our table. Can’t wait for the next 10 days.”

“Service 0/10 Nobody cares about you here. You pay €2,000 for 7 days and they treat you as if you paid €20. If you arrive at the pool after 10 a.m., don't expect to find a spot anywhere. No one will help you or assist you. We walk over 45minutes. You also won't get a drink unless you run to get it yourself. There are around 300 guests around you, but the staff act as if you don't exist. The only thing u can get is kids screaming around you. The resort looks beautiful and the themed areas are well designed, but appearances can be deceiving. Everything seems focused on finding another way to charge guests. While most resorts provide basic amenities like an iron, here you have to pay €4 just to have one item ironed. If you are looking for a relaxing couples' getaway, this is not the place. The atmosphere is stressful rather than welcoming, and the service falls far below expectations for the price paid. This is definitely not the level of service you would expect from a hotel in this price range.”

“A really well designed and African themed hotel. A lot of thought has gone into this massive Lopesan hotel with large pools, mildly heated and a lazy river too. The rooms and walkways were a bit tired, can do with an update. There were occasional wall paper off the wall. The staff and service was good, also used the Lopesan app to request few room items. I found it odd that the pool towels were only given out between 10am-12 pm from the pool huts, however they were available from the reception. The food and the spread during the breakfast was good, the staff and chef were friendly and accommodating. The entertainment every night was good and as of a varied theme. What I loved the most was how when you walked through the entrance, the greenery and the waterfall transported you to the another world and felt relaxed and happy straight away. The hotel is close to promenade, restaurants, Maspalomas beach, famous dunes and a bus station for buses to Puerto de Mogan and Puerto Rico. Overall we had a good stay and holiday with family was good.”

“Excellent service, friendly staff, amazing food, beautiful pools, and impeccable cleanliness throughout the rooms and the entire resort. The only areas for improvement are the sun lounger situation, as many are reserved with towels for hours (staff place notices saying the towels will be removed, but they never are). We also experienced cigarette ash falling onto our balcony from guests smoking on the balcony above us, despite the resort's non-smoking policy and the designated smoking areas available.”

“Over the last 10 years we've stayed in several lopesan hotels in the same area. Each has its own style but all are really good hotels. This hotel has been in operation for quite a while and there are areas that could be improved. Rooms are generally good and plenty of space but the doors etc are starting to show their age with chips or scratches etc. The bathrooms are good but better in del conde and I would prefer to see a door into the bathroom area instead of the door to the shower and another to the toilet. The wardrobes are not great, lighting is bad in them and the hangers are very high so my wife has to ask me to get everything down. When we have stayed here we have always stayed in the family rooms in the main building which are very central to everything in the hotel. The grounds are very well maintained (same for all hotels in the group) location is great, beside shops and close to the beach. There is a shop in the hotel which is very handy. (I don't understand why there is no shop in del conde because thats a bit of a walk to the shops). We went for the unique package when we arrived which was 20euro per adult per night and I think around 14 for children. Unique package allows you to select the sunbeds around the unique pool, the beds there have a cushion and are much more comfortable although the pool is deep there, 1.7 meters. With the unique package you get some bottles of cocktails and chocolate to the room in the evening and a change of towels. You also get to use the unique lounge which can be access by one of the lifts to the 6th floor. Some small sandwiches or wraps and sweets, crisps etc. There is a fridge with a selection of drinks including bottles of Heineken (the only beer choice) and wines, coke etc. Sandwiches available upto 1pm (not great to be honest). There is also a separate area for the unique breakfast, with a selection of hot food available and served to the table. There are several pools, the lazy river is really good but the other pools are good too. Overall this is a good hotel and the staff are friendly and helpful.”
