How we choose our hotels
Tripplo compares hotels using guest ratings, hotel class and available information about location and facilities. Destination lists and themed guides serve different purposes and may use different criteria. Rankings are never sold.
Ratings and standards
The selection focuses on four- and five-star hotels. Booking.com and Google ratings are considered alongside the number of reviews behind them. Inclusion criteria and the importance of individual factors vary between destination lists and themed guides.
Location and setting
We describe hotel locations using available sources, including proximity to beaches, city centres or secluded surroundings. In themed guides, documented location details such as direct beach access or walking distance to the sea may affect how well a hotel fits the theme.
Facilities and experience
Information about spas, pools, kids’ clubs and room types helps describe hotels and assess their suitability for themed guides. A spa or family guide therefore needs to consider different features from a general destination list. Review analysis is shown separately and uses a limited sample of texts.
Independence
Rankings are never sold. We earn a commission when you book through our partner links, at no extra cost to you, and that never changes which hotels we include or the order we place them in.
Information may have different dates
Guest ratings, hotel facts and text analyses are updated separately. A new analysis does not mean every detail about a hotel was checked that day. Facilities, conditions and prices can change; check the details for your stay with the hotel or booking site.
