Astir Odysseus Kos Resort and Spa1
Google4.8· 2,606 reviews
Booking9.2· 592 reviews

Food & restaurants: 36 of 36 mentions positive · Service & staff: 34 of 34 mentions positive

Why this rank: Guests rate it consistently well, and the drinks go further than at the two Cabana hotels: international brand spirits and the minibar are included. What holds it back is à la carte, with a single dinner at Argo and only on stays of seven nights or more.

Expansive lagoon-style sharing pools
Direct access to a quiet beachfront
Diverse recreational and climbing facilities
Sleek, low-rise minimalist design
Pebbly shoreline requires water shoes
Distance from Kos Town dining
Cabana Blu Hotel & Suites2
Google4.6· 492 reviews
Booking9.1· 250 reviews

Why this rank: A package guests praise by name: two à la carte restaurants for dinner, wine, draught beer and cocktails, and the beach about 20 metres away. Branded spirits cost extra, however, and drinks after 23:00 are charged.

Direct access to private sandy beach
Well-appointed rooms with coffee facilities
Quiet beachfront seasonal outdoor pool
Convenient complimentary on-site parking
Seasonal pool limits winter swimming
High demand during peak summer months
Cabana White Boutique Hotel3
Booking9· 133 reviews

Why this rank: Guests call the package very complete, and Elia Beach Restaurant comes on top of the two à la carte restaurants shared with Cabana Blu. The trade-off for the small format is that buffet meals are served at Cabana Blu, reached by shuttle, and branded spirits are not included.

Stylish boho design, kept spotless
Friendly, attentive staff
Quiet spot close to Kardamena and the beach
Generous all-inclusive with beach service
Suites with hot tubs and swim-up rooms
Main meals are at the sister hotel
Limited pool space on site
Not every drink is included
Atlantica Belvedere Resort - Adults Only4
Booking8.6· 92 reviews

Why this rank: Adults-only, on a hillside above a sandy beach, with every restaurant and bar part of the all-inclusive. Guests praise the food, but the hotel publishes neither the package's hours nor whether premium drinks are included, and à la carte stops at one dinner at Thalassa on stays of five nights or more.

Sea views and direct beach access
Warm, helpful staff
Green, spacious grounds with several pools
Spotless rooms and grounds
Lively evening shows
Buffet food divides opinion
Soft mattresses

How we chose and ordered the hotels

We checked every hotel against its own website in October 2026, not just against a booking site. A hotel only counts as all-inclusive here if it sells a board under that name itself. For those five we also noted what the package actually covers: à la carte dinners, branded spirits, how late the bars serve and whether there is an ultra tier. Where a hotel publishes nothing on a point, we have left it blank rather than guessed.

The five all-inclusive hotels come first. The five alternatives follow, each marked in the list: they sell half board (KOIA also full board), and none of them sells all-inclusive. Within each group the hotels are ordered by guest score, which we use to sort the list but never print.

The criteria were the same for every hotel. It had to be a luxury hotel with enough guest reviews behind its score for that score to mean something, and the score had to clear our floor. Four-star hotels faced a higher floor than five-star ones.

Worth knowing about Kos

Kos is long and narrow. Kos Town and its harbour sit at the north-eastern tip, the airport lies inland towards the middle of the island, and where you stay decides how far you are from both.

The north coast – Tigaki, Marmari and Mastichari – is lined with long, open beaches. Astir Odysseus sits right on the beach at Tigaki, D'Andrea Lagoon is in Marmari and Neptune in Mastichari, where ferries leave for Kalymnos. The summer wind is felt most on this side of the island, which kitesurfers welcome and sunbathers notice.

Kardamena on the south coast is a resort town with a lively centre. Cabana Blu is on the beach a short walk from the village and Cabana White on its quieter outskirts. Atlantica Belvedere stands on a hillside above a sandy beach about four kilometres out, and Mitsis Norida lies on a Blue Flag pebble beach about five kilometres from town.

Around Kos Town you will find Diamond Deluxe in the Lambi area north of town and KOIA at Agios Fokas to the south-east. Several hotels in this guide are a fair way from Kos Town, so if evenings in town matter to you, budget for taxis or a hire car.

Hotels we reviewed but left out

Many more hotels went through the same review. Some sell all-inclusive but fell short of our floor; others are fine hotels that sell no all-inclusive at all. These are the ones most worth knowing about.

  • Ikos Aria – a genuine all-inclusive from the Ikos brand, but too few reviews yet for its guest score to carry weight.
  • Sovereign Beach Hotel – five stars and all-inclusive, but still a little short on reviews.
  • Kouros Palace Active Lifestyle Hotel – all-inclusive and five stars, with too few reviews yet.
  • Pelagos Suites Hotel & Spa – a five-star all-inclusive whose guest score sits right on our floor rather than above it.
  • Grecotel LUXME Kos – sold as luxury all-inclusive, but below our guest-score floor.
  • Mitsis Summer Palace – five-star all-inclusive with a guest score below our floor.
  • Mosay All Suite Hotel – well liked by guests, but sells breakfast only; dinner is à la carte and there is no all-inclusive.
  • White Rock of Kos Hotel – Adults Only – breakfast only on Booking and half board only through tour operators, with no all-inclusive.

A hotel missing from the list is not one we think poorly of. It means either that it does not sell all-inclusive, or that it did not clear our floor this time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Because only five luxury hotels on Kos sell a genuine all-inclusive package and clear our quality floor. Rather than stretch the definition, we list those five first and add the strongest half-board hotels as clearly marked alternatives. None of the alternatives sells all-inclusive, so plan on paying for lunch and drinks on site.

Mitsis Norida. Its ultra all-inclusive runs 24 hours, with an early breakfast from 4am and a light buffet through the night; in-room service costs extra. At Astir Odysseus the all-inclusive ends at midnight, and at Cabana Blu and Cabana White drinks after 23:00 are charged.

Among the all-inclusive hotels, Atlantica Belvedere is adults-only. Of the half-board alternatives, D'Andrea Lagoon, KOIA, OKU Kos and Diamond Deluxe are adults-only. Astir Odysseus, Cabana Blu and Mitsis Norida welcome children, and Mitsis Norida is run as a large family resort.

It varies a lot. Cabana Blu has two à la carte restaurants for dinner, and Cabana White adds Elia Beach Restaurant; both need booking a day ahead. Mitsis Norida has three, booked through the concierge subject to availability. Astir Odysseus includes one dinner at Argo on stays of seven nights or more, and Atlantica Belvedere one dinner at Thalassa on stays of five nights or more.
