Mitsis Norida is a large, lively beach resort made for families who want everything included. It stands on a Blue Flag pebble beach on the south coast of Kos, about 5 km from Kardamena, with 455 rooms, seven pools, water slides and a mini and junior club. The ultra all-inclusive runs around the clock, from an early breakfast to a light buffet late into the night, and guests praise the friendly staff, the generous food and drink and the Smokey Grill, one of three à la carte restaurants. What holds it back is the rooms. Guests repeatedly describe them as clean but simple and somewhat dated for five stars, with soft beds and the odd tired family room. At peak times there are queues at the bars and the buffet, and sunbeds by the pools go early. Families who will spend their days by the pools and the sea will find plenty to do; couples after a quiet, polished hideaway should look elsewhere.
