How we ranked

It combines three parts: the guest verdict on Booking and Google, weighted by how many reviews stand behind it — a score from a few dozen reviews is pulled toward the island average, while one from thousands stands on its own — counting for 55 percent; verified spa criteria for this theme (spa, indoor pool, sauna/steam, hydrotherapy, signature treatments, spa praised in reviews, adults-only spa), worth 30 percent, where a criterion we could not confirm is left out rather than counted as a no; and the hotel's star class, worth 15 percent. This theme has no information-only criteria, so every criterion above counts toward the ranking, and a four-star with a confirmed spa can outrank a five-star with unconfirmed facilities.
