Worth knowing about Hurghada
The hotels spread across three areas: Hurghada town with AlDau beach (Steigenberger, Long Beach, Serry, Alora), the master-planned Sahl Hasheesh bay 20–25 minutes south of the airport (Baron Palace, KaiSol), and Makadi Bay another ten minutes south (Xanadu, Cleopatra). The Red Sea is swimmable year round — winter brings 20–25°C and summer is very hot. House reefs make snorkelling a headline attraction in Sahl Hasheesh and Makadi.
