Frequently Asked Questions

Copenhagen dominates, with classic grand hotels, design properties and some of the Nordics' best restaurants. Aarhus is a growing alternative with boutique hotels, museums and a compact, walkable centre.
The combination of Danish design and world-class gastronomy. Historic addresses by Kongens Nytorv and Nyhavn sit alongside newer design hotels — and the city has more Michelin stars than any other in the Nordics, often within walking distance of your hotel.
May to September brings light evenings, pavement cafés and cycling weather. December is a chapter of its own, with Christmas markets and Tivoli's festive lights — classic cosiness for a weekend at a top hotel.
Expect roughly £250–450 a night for five-star, and more for suites and the most famous addresses. Sunday–Thursday is often noticeably cheaper than weekend nights, and winter (outside Christmas) offers the best rates.
One of the world's best. The city was the epicentre of New Nordic cuisine and has a density of Michelin restaurants and wine bars few European capitals can match. Several luxury hotels house acclaimed restaurants and chefs of their own.
No — quite the opposite. Copenhagen is best experienced on foot, by bike or by metro, and the train from the airport to the centre takes about 15 minutes. Copenhagen to Aarhus is under three hours by rail, so a two-city trip works easily without a car.
