In short: Ten luxury all-inclusive hotels in Halkidiki, checked against the hotels' own terms. Families should look at Potidea Palace, Blue Lagoon Queen and Zeus Eleva Ajul, the last two with waterparks.

Halkidiki stretches into the northern Aegean in three long fingers.

The review analysis covers a sample of 601 reviews from 10 of the 10 hotels listed. Mentions are counted after automated classification of texts that may be shortened. Latest analysis in this selection: October 2026. How we count mentions.

How we chose and ordered the hotels

We checked every hotel against its own website in October 2026 rather than relying on a booking site alone, and noted the exact wording and the date. The board itself had to be sold as all-inclusive; a generous package under another name did not count. Zelia and Alia Palace do not spell out the board on their own sites, so for those two we read the terms the tour operators publish. The hotels are ordered by guest score, which we use to sort the list but never print.

The labels say less than you might expect. Several Kassandra resorts sell an ultra all-inclusive, yet the word decides little about à la carte: some include a dinner a week or a few per stay, others include none at all. What is included is stated under each hotel, and where a hotel publishes nothing on a point we have left it blank rather than guessed.

The criteria were the same for every hotel. It had to be a four- or five-star luxury hotel with enough guest reviews behind its score for that score to mean something, and the score had to clear our floor, which is higher for four-star hotels than for five-star ones. For the hotels that passed, we also noted whether à la carte and premium drinks are included, whether there is an ultra tier, how late the bars serve and whether guests praise the food.

Worth knowing about Halkidiki

Nea Potidea sits where Kassandra joins the mainland, roughly 55–60 km from Thessaloniki airport. Istion Club, Potidea Palace, Portes Beach, Portes Lithos and Zelia all lie along this stretch. Istion Club and Zelia look across the water to Mount Olympus, and Portes Lithos is on the Thermaic Gulf side at Portes beach. Zelia stands on the clifftop rather than on the sand, so you walk down to the sea.

Afytos and Pefkochori are villages further down Kassandra's east coast, with shops and tavernas close by. MERAVIA sits above the sea at Afytos with a private beach area below, while Alia Palace stands on the hillside above Pefkochori, 500 metres from the village, with a free shuttle to a beach 800 metres away.

Agia Paraskevi on Kassandra's south-west coast is home to Zeus Eleva Ajul, a little over 100 km from the airport. The setting is secluded, so a hire car helps if you want to explore.

Gerakini and Kalyves face the gulf between Kassandra and Sithonia. Sea Coast Resort has a quiet sandy beach at Gerakini, and Blue Lagoon Queen, a family resort with its own waterpark, is on the beach at Kalyves nearby.

Ouranoupoli is the last village before the monastic state of Mount Athos. Women are not admitted to Athos and men need a permit, but boat trips along the coast show the monasteries from the sea to everyone. Most beach resorts in Halkidiki are seasonal, so check opening dates before you book.

Hotels we reviewed but left out

Many more hotels went through the same review. Some sell all-inclusive but fell short of our floor; others are fine hotels that simply do not sell all-inclusive. These are the ones you are most likely to come across.

  • Ikos Olivia and Ikos Oceania – both sell all-inclusive, but there are too few reviews yet for their guest scores to carry weight.
  • Portes Theros Adults Only Hotel – Booking.com lists an all-inclusive rate, but the hotel is still just short of enough reviews.
  • Kassandra Palace Seaside Resort – too few reviews yet.
  • Acrotel Elea Beach – the Acrotel group's all-inclusive hotel, but just below our guest-score floor for four-star hotels.
  • Sani Beach, Sani Club, Porto Sani and Sani Dunes – Sani Resort sells half or full board with Dine Around, not all-inclusive. Porto Sani and Sani Dunes also have too few reviews yet.
  • Domes Noruz Kassandra – Adults Only – rates are on a bed-and-breakfast basis, and tour operators sell only breakfast or half board.
  • Miraggio Thermal Spa Resort – bed and breakfast, half board and full board with a Dine Around programme, but no all-inclusive.
  • Anthemus Sea Beach Hotel and Spa – half board with Dine Around on its own site, and no all-inclusive through tour operators either.
  • Eagles Palace – its own site sells a full-board package with drinks called The Bon Vivant, but never calls it all-inclusive, so it is not on the list.

A hotel missing from the list is not one we think poorly of. It means that we found no all-inclusive terms to verify, that the hotel does not sell all-inclusive, or that it did not clear our floor this time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Zelia, where All Inclusive Plus covers both lunch and dinner à la carte, with a reservation needed for dinner. Blue Lagoon Queen includes one dinner a week at each of its two themed restaurants, Portes Lithos one a week at Skinos, and MERAVIA one on a three-night stay or three from seven nights. At Potidea Palace only suite guests get à la carte.

MERAVIA at Afytos, Zelia near Nea Potidea and Alia Palace above Pefkochori (16+). The others welcome children, and Potidea Palace, Portes Beach, Blue Lagoon Queen and Zeus Eleva Ajul are especially geared to families, the last two with waterparks.

No. None of the packages we could check runs for 24 hours. Most stop at midnight or 23:00. At Zelia drinks run until 01:00, and Istion Club keeps its beach bar open until 01:00, with late-night finger food until 00:30. At MERAVIA anything after midnight is charged. Portes Lithos and Zeus Eleva Ajul publish no hours.

The resorts around Nea Potidea are roughly 55–60 km away, MERAVIA at Afytos about 70 km, and Alia Palace and Zeus Eleva Ajul, further south on Kassandra, around 95–105 km, so factor the transfer into your arrival day.
