Istion Club & Spa is built for an uncomplicated beach holiday where food and drinks are taken care of. It sits on its own sandy beach in the bay of Nea Potidea, with low-rise buildings in green grounds, three pools and a large spa, and the Ultra All-Inclusive programme covers the buffet and the bars, with the beach bar open late. Guests speak most warmly about the staff, the varied buffet and the spacious rooms, and families value the activities and the relaxed atmosphere. The weaker points are practical. Sunbeds on the beach are often claimed early with towels, the beach itself is on the small side, and the Wi-Fi is patchy. A few rooms are starting to show their age, and dining centres on one buffet restaurant rather than a choice of à la carte venues. Families and couples who want sun, sea and a spa within a few steps will find a friendly, well-run base.
