Paphos has long relied on its archaeology and family resorts, but along the coast between Kato Paphos and Coral Bay, a dense selection of hotels has emerged that close their doors to children entirely – several of them run by Cypriot Louis Hotels and Kanika, which have made the adults-only concept their speciality.
We have been strict in our selection: every hotel below has a verified adults-only policy taken directly from the property's own rules, at least four stars, and a guest rating of over 8.5 on Booking. Three of them do not allow guests under 16, and Amavi only accepts couples over 18. Here are our selected luxury hotels in Paphos – for those holidaying without children.
1Paphos, Cyprus
Amavi tops the list with 9.5 on Booking and 4.8 on Google – a five-star hotel that is not only adults-only but built exclusively for couples over 18.
The hotel is located directly on a Blue Flag-certified beach on Poseidonos Avenue, with unobstructed views of the medieval castle and the old harbour. All rooms face the Mediterranean, so the sunset can be seen from your own balcony.
The concept permeates everything: sunbeds for two by the pool, spa treatments booked as a couple, and four restaurants included in the half-board option. It is Cyprus's first purpose-built couples' hotel – and it shows in the details.
2Paphos, Cyprus
Ivi Mare reaches 9.4 on Booking and 4.8 on Google, and is run by Louis Hotels, which has several adults-only hotels in the city.
The hotel is located on the beach in Yeroskipou just east of Paphos centre, with direct access to the Mediterranean and an outdoor pool open all year round.
Here you will find three separate restaurants and plenty of space by the pools – a convenient choice if you want a resort feel without compromising on the child-free atmosphere.
3Paphos, Cyprus
Leonardo Plaza Cypria Maris has 9.3 on Booking – and behind that rating lie over 4,000 reviews, by far the most on this list.
The hotel accepts guests from 16 years of age and is located on a sandy beach just under two kilometres from Paphos, surrounded by 6,000 square metres of gardens separating the rooms from the beach.
Four restaurants, a large pool, a spa, and two tennis courts make it the most complete resort on the list for those who want activities within the hotel grounds.
4Paphos, Cyprus
St George Beach Hotel & Spa Resort stands at 9.2 and offers premium all-inclusive for guests from 16 years of age.
What sets the hotel apart from the crowd is its dine-around concept: six à la carte restaurants, a patisserie café, and five bars are included in the price – an unusually broad offering for an all-inclusive hotel.
Its location in Chlorakas, north of Paphos, offers a quieter stretch of beach than the city centre, with spa and wellness as a clear focus.
5Paphos, Cyprus
Cali Resort & Spa also reaches 9.2 on Booking and has an impressive 4.8 on Google – Louis Hotels' second adults-only hotel on the list.
The hotel is located on Coral Bay Avenue a little north of the centre, and focuses on clean, minimalist architecture rather than a traditional resort style.
An indoor pool, sauna, gym, and spa make it a great option even outside the peak season, and breakfast is a recurring highlight in guest reviews.
6Paphos, Cyprus
M Boutique Hotel completes the list with 9.1 on Booking, based on over 2,000 reviews.
The hotel is located inside Kato Paphos, a few blocks from the sea – the most centrally located choice on the list, with restaurants and the archaeological site within walking distance.
It is a smaller, five-star boutique hotel with a spa and sauna, and the kitchen highlights Cypriot ingredients in its breakfast. Best suited for those who would rather stay in the heart of the city than at a beach resort.
