In short: Book Amavi, MadeForTwo Hotels - Paphos for unobstructed sea views from all rooms, Amarande Hotel for infinity glass balconies in all rooms, or Sunrise Jade for direct access to a sandy cove. These locations provide peaceful, sophisticated environments.
Cyprus has built one of the Mediterranean's densest collections of adults-only hotels — and unlike many islands, they aren't clustered along a single beach strip. You'll find them in Ayia Napa's new luxury quarter, on the Protaras clifftop, in Larnaca's town centre and along the Limassol seafront.
We checked every hotel's adults policy directly against their official websites. To qualify, a hotel needs a verified adults-only policy, at least four stars and a Booking guest score of at least 8.5. Here are the eight adults-only hotels we selected.
The numbers beside each hotel are counted from real guest reviews (Booking + Google) — never estimated.
How we ranked the hotels
The order rests on Booking and Google guest scores, the counted themes from our review analyses, and the officially verified age limits. Only two of these hotels publish an exact limit on their own site — where it's missing we leave the cell empty rather than repeat tour operators' figures. Below each hotel we explain its placement.
Where in Cyprus should you stay as an adult traveller?
Ayia Napa (Amanti, Amarande, Napa Suites) has acquired a whole new luxury profile — design hotels a few blocks from Nissi Beach, with the nightlife still within reach if you want it. Protaras (King Jason, Sunrise Jade) is the calmer option on the same coast: Fig Tree Bay, snorkelling coves and earlier evenings. Larnaca (Ciao Stelio) suits anyone wanting town, beach and airport within minutes — ideal for a first or last night. Limassol (Atlantica Bay) offers a promenade and city life, and Paphos (Amavi) the island's calmest corner with UNESCO-listed excavations.
Larnaca airport (LCA) is 45–60 minutes from Ayia Napa and Protaras and around 15 minutes from Larnaca; Paphos airport (PFO) is 20 minutes from Amavi. The swimming season runs from May to November.
We analysed the 188 most recently available guest reviews (Booking + Google) across the 8 hotels below — every figure is counted, never estimated. Reviews harvested August 2026. How we count mentions.

1Ayia Napa, Cyprus
Service & staff: 24 of 24 mentions positive · Condition & cleanliness: 21 of 21 mentions positive
Amanti shares the top spot with 9.5 on Booking – built by the same Kanika concept as Amavi in Paphos, but aimed at Ayia Napa.
The hotel is located on Melissiou Street near the harbour, with three pools and four restaurants ranging from Greek and Mediterranean cuisine to Asian and Latin American.
It is a pure couples' hotel: everything from the room design to the spa area is built for two, and Ayia Napa's nightlife is within easy reach without being heard from the pool area.
Why this rank: Joint-highest Booking score (9.5) and the list's most complete harvest: 24 of 24 counted service mentions and 21 of 21 on condition and cleanliness are positive. Every guest also gets their own reserved sunbed for the whole stay.
2Larnaca, Cyprus
Service & staff: 20 of 20 mentions positive · Food & restaurants: 14 of 14 mentions positive
The Ciao Stelio Deluxe is Larnaca's only hotel in this class – and achieves 9.5 on Booking.
It is located directly on Mackenzie Beach, the promenade where Larnaca's restaurant scene is at its most concentrated, and the rooms feature smart TVs and modern technology throughout.
A great choice if you want to combine city pulse with the beach, and thanks to its proximity to the airport, it works perfectly for a shorter weekend break.
Why this rank: The same Booking score as our number one (9.5) with a flawless service and food harvest — 20 of 20 and 14 of 14 positive. Unprompted upgrades recur, and the 18+ limit is officially published.
3Paphos, Cyprus
Food & restaurants: 12 of 12 mentions positive · Service & staff: 12 of 13 mentions positive
Amavi represents Paphos on this list with 9.5 on Booking and 4.8 on Google – Cyprus's first purpose-built couples' hotel, for guests over 18 years of age.
The hotel is located on a Blue Flag beach on Poseidonos Avenue with unobstructed views of the medieval castle, and all rooms face the Mediterranean.
The couples concept is visible in the details: sun loungers for two, spa treatments booked in pairs, and four restaurants included in the half-board option.
Why this rank: The list's strongest Google score (4.8) and 12 of 12 counted food mentions positive. It sits in Paphos, furthest from the other seven — and some guests found the staff a little brusque.
4Ayia Napa, Cyprus
Service & staff: 15 of 15 mentions positive · Food & restaurants: 14 of 14 mentions positive
Amarande sits at 9.4 – and the rating is based on almost 2,000 reviews, the most among the island's adults-only hotels.
All rooms have spacious glass infinity balconies and most have sea views. The hotel is situated 300 metres from Ayia Napa Beach and just under a kilometre from the centre.
Three restaurants and a distinct sense of calm make it a mature alternative in a town otherwise associated with partying.
Why this rank: A five-star adults-only house with an official 16+ limit and a breakfast one guest ranks above five-star hotels worldwide. A paid sea view that turned out to be a side view, without compensation, pulls it down.
5Protaras, Cyprus
Service & staff: 21 of 21 mentions positive · Location: 17 of 17 mentions positive
King Jason Protaras reaches 9.3 on Booking and a whopping 4.8 on Google – Louis Hotels' adults-only venture on the island's east coast.
The hotel has direct access to Fig Tree Bay, one of Cyprus's most photographed bays, and three separate outdoor pools.
It is four-star rather than five-star, but the spa facilities and location make it the best value-for-money option on the list.
Why this rank: The best Google score in Protaras (4.8) with 21 of 21 counted service mentions positive and Fig Tree Bay around the corner — but it's a four-star house and breakfast is simpler than at the five-star rivals.
6Protaras, Cyprus
Service & staff: 11 of 11 mentions positive · Pools, beach & aquapark: 9 of 9 mentions positive
Sunrise Jade sits at 9.2 and is Protaras' more lavish adults-only alternative.
The hotel is located directly on a sandy cove in Paralimni, with two outdoor pools – one of which is heated – and a well-equipped spa.
The rooms are elegantly furnished with private balconies, and the range of restaurants spans from gourmet to international.
Why this rank: Five stars with a snorkelling cove in front of the entrance and 11 of 11 counted service mentions positive. The kitchen handles vegan guests with specially ordered ingredients — but the harvest is the list's smallest.
7Ayia Napa, Cyprus
Service & staff: 21 of 21 mentions positive · Condition & cleanliness: 15 of 15 mentions positive
Hotel Napa Suites achieves 9.2 on Booking, based on just over 750 reviews.
The hotel's signature is the rooftop pool – an infinity pool with panoramic views of Ayia Napa – and the Napaview SkyLounge on the roof.
The rooms feature smart home automation throughout, and the elevated position above the town provides peace and quiet without you having to stay far out.
Why this rank: The rooftop infinity pool with a daily DJ is the list's most distinctive setting, and 21 of 21 counted service mentions are positive. The beach does need a car, which costs it places.
8Limassol, Cyprus
Service & staff: 20 of 20 mentions positive · Food & restaurants: 15 of 16 mentions positive
Atlantica Bay is Limassol's only adults-only hotel in our review – the city otherwise focuses almost exclusively on family resorts.
The hotel welcomes guests from 16 years of age and is located on Amathus Avenue, a short walk from Agios Tychonas beach and right next to ancient Amathus.
The rooftop pool with sea views, the indoor pool and the spa make it suitable for year-round use. The rating of 8.6 is the lowest on the list, but it is also the only way to stay child-free in Limassol.
Why this rank: The list's lowest Booking score (8.6) — but newly refurbished rooms (15 of 15 positive counted mentions), a free minibar and service where staff remember your order make it Limassol's value pick.
