“A hotel with a mood. Must visit. Fantastic staff who are seemingly everywhere just when you need them. Dinners and lunches at both restaurants were out of this world. Breakfast left a little to be desired. Our room was a little dank. However the service, staff, the architecture and the views more than made up for it.”

“It’s our second trip to Cap Rocat this year. It’s the sun, the moon, and the stars. ⭐️🌙 I recognized its signature scent the moment we got in the car from the airport (take one of their complimentary candles home—you’ll understand). The fortress is formidable yet welcoming, private yet wonderfully unpretentious. It’s the perfect place for love, new ideas, inspiration, or simply disappearing off the grid for a few days. Wifi was fine for the writing working type. Mediterranean dining ON the sea divine. Strong spa game. Sleep comes easily here—the rooms feel like beautiful, peaceful dens. Jump off the cliffs, eat fresh fish, walk for hours, and let time slow down. I actually designed my home with this place in mind—soft places to land, sculpted topiary, weathered stone, natural textures, barefoot living, and an invitation to slow down.”

“I have been lucky enough to stay at amazing 5 star hotels like The Grace on Santorini, San Pietro di Positano, Palazzo Avino in Ravello and Can Simoneta in Mallorca. I feel like I know what a true 5 star stay is, food, service and rooms. Cap Rocat is not a 5 star hotel and let me explain why: unless you stay in the Suite Del Mar or the Sentinal suites, your room will have no window (still a suite and still about 2k a night). The room is like a damp cave with outdated fixtures and a plastic bath. The luxury you see on the pictures and on instagram is not true. Do not be duped like we were. The breakfast is sub par. The coffee is terrible. I am a breakfast and coffee person and was horrified by the spread, old fruit, bland pastries, no flare. If you’re paying wow factor prices, you should be given a wow factor experience. The food at the restaurants is not much better. Where is an amazing chef and attention to detail? The hotel its self is quiet and private but there are no views. The main bar feels lonely and small without a vista to look at and very quickly the stone walls start to feel oppressive. The instagram photos are mostly from the restaurant you’re not allowed into unless you’re paying for the set meal. On the whole this place is way overpriced and lacks attention to detail or the kind of luxury you’d expect when you're paying huge amounts per night. Plus the restaurants are lacking majorly. Go elsewhere. This needs to be reduced to a 4 star and drop their prices. Do not be fooled.”

“Very unique stay. Excellent stewardship of its historical roots as a fort and really good job integrating the resort within that space. Attentive service, strong ambience, especially at night when to torchlights are lit. Do keep in mind at you are staying in converted fortification - the layout and decor are not necessarily what you expect from a modern high-end resort. But we found it to be comfortable. The roof terrace and sunbeds are especially great. They bring breakfast to your room or Terrace.”

“I was very excited to meet friends and family here for a catch up and my experience was just awful. My plane arrived early so we arrived an hour before our table. We asked to sit in the bar and were told we were not aloud in until our reservation, we asked to wait in the car park and we were told we had to wait on the road outside until our allotted time. When we finally got in to the bar (which was empty) we had to wait over an for drinks and were seated 15 minutes late for our table and had to wait almost an hour to order any drink of food. Service was terrible, staff were rude.. and since they were so stringent on our arrival time I expected them to run at a timely pace. This is a 5 star establishment and the service should reflect that. Food was fairly mediocre and with the service alongside that I would highly suggest you eat somewhere else. Dreadful 👎 There are so many beautiful spots to eat and drink at, avoid this one at all costs!”
