Tripplo's verdict, based on guest reviews

Located in a tranquil bay on the Loryma Peninsula, Turunc Resort Hotel balances rugged natural scenery with comprehensive resort amenities. The property is well-suited for families and couples seeking a self-contained coastal retreat removed from the busier atmosphere of Marmaris.

The 30-second verdict

  • Situated where the Aegean meets the Mediterranean, the resort is cradled by pine-forested mountains. This geography creates a natural boundary that provides a sense of seclusion from the more crowded coastal stretches of the region.
  • With five distinct swimming areas, guests can choose between active family zones and quieter spaces. This variety ensures that the pool decks remain manageable and accommodate different preferences for atmosphere even during the high season.

The hotel was nothing special for an ultra all-inclusive resort. The food was average, and neither the pool nor the rooms stood out in any way. As for the staff, they do not treat all guests equally and seem to have their own priorities, especially when it comes to British guests. Drinks are often not prepared properly, and some staff members expect tips if you want more than four drinks, which is completely unacceptable. Not everyone behaves this way, though. A staff member named Feret only made an effort after requesting a tip. He also seemed to be flirting with young girls like me. I am extremely dissatisfied with the staff. They made my friend and me leave the pool at 6:00 PM even though it closes at 6:30 PM, and they only asked us to leave. You should seriously reconsider your male staff, as their behavior is not acceptable. I have no complaints about the female staff. In fact, special compliments to the woman working at the bar near the reception desk – she was very professional, friendly, and provided excellent service. And not to mention that most of the staff could barely speak English, which is unacceptable for a resort that caters to international guests.

We visited turunc resort hotel for 11 night as 7 adults and 2 young children. Well what can I say: the hotel is amazing, staff is all great very friendly and welcoming, food is very nice and service is fantastic the staff can not do enough for you. The surrounding of the hotel is beautiful, and lots of places to eat and drink beautiful scenery. The rooms are spacious and the hotel in general is spotless. The entertainment staff are great and try there best to get everyone involved without being pushy. And I want to say a big thank you to falkan who was amazing with my 2 youngest children. He was very welcoming and everyone morning he was there ready to do there hot chocolate and got it right every time. The girls felt so comfortable with him and he had built a great bond with them.

We have came to the beautiful hotel and we made a great choice. From start to finish everything has been great. We love the location, easy access to the beach. The food has lots of varieties and it’s delicious and cooked fresh. Few bars all around , coffee bar and lovely cakes available all days. Service at Patessiere with Eslem was always excellent. Aysun from guest relations was very helpful and supportive as I have gluten intolerance and she assisted when I need help. Easy walk to little town. 5* and highly recommended.

We visited this hotel from 7th-21st May - 2weeks. I have such mixed reviews- when we first arrived we noticed there was only 1 tiny lift which is quite frustrating visiting with a buggy and family, the lift also had a really stagnant damp smell for the whole stay. The room was okay however quite small for a family of 3, balcony is a little unsafe as there is gaps in the glass which you can get an arm through. The air con was not turned on until about a week of being here which was really frustrating as it was really warm, the rooms were really stuffy and I had a 2 year old with me so trying to keep him cool was quite difficult. We noticed when the hotel got more busy they finally decided to turn the air con on even after asking continuously and being told they are still in winter months and it doesn’t turn on till June 1st. Most of the staff here are quite young and do not speak English we were made to communicate via translator apps. The food is VERY repetitive, lunch is the same every day with the only thing differing is one day lamb kebab and the next chicken, which after 2 weeks it’s safe to say no one was picking that for lunch. We found the entertainment a real let down, no English music and no one speaking English which discouraged any of us to join in at all. The kids club opened so I took my son in and was given no greeting or smile the staff told us there was a £10 charge for a T-shirt for him, they didn’t interact with him and actually made him cry and want to leave after he pulled out some toys (which I was putting away as I go) this really upset me as it was his first holiday and I just felt he wasn’t being included. We spent a lot of time by the baby pool which was great, however it is advertised online as having the cover over the top which it did not have the whole 2 weeks which meant the only shade was the little umbrellas provided. The hotel has also advertised in there booking photos a park in the grounds which they did not have which was really disappointing as there was no activities for children to take part in. The beach is stunning and the cove however I would return to turunc in a heartbeat but I wouldn’t recommend the hotel personally.

What can I say: What a beautiful place and beautiful hotel. The hotel is always clean and tidy. The staff are all amazing and great service. The food is all lovely. Lots of choice to choose from. Lots of cakes and little coffee bars Plenty of bars for drinks and good choice of cocktails. Always able to get squash, water tea and coffee all the time. The beach is beautiful. Always managed to get sun bed round the pool or on the beach Entertainment staff where lovely. Tried there best to get people involved in the day. My partner enjoyed a game of water polo and darts and when I had chance got involved in water gym and kids zumba. There is a kids club. My little 2 are a little bit to young but we went down a couple of days and was allowed in with them and stayed with them. Evening entertainment was OK. Some nice shows. The kids loved the mini disco. This was all in the amphitheatre. Rooms where good size. Beds where comfy. Only down fall we found was when the rooms where cleaned this was done quite late after4/5pm when we would like to go back to room for couple of hours. Only short walk to town, was nice stroll down. All the staff were amazing. Here are a few that stood out and we want to thank for making our stay amazing Duygu at breakfast and lunchtime Caner & Davut in lunchtime Ali in main restaurant on evenimg Berivan in reception bar on evening Hande one of the managers Falken for everything he did for us and the girls. And building such a lovely bond with Frankie and Kacie. He is a great asset to the the hotel. We will defiantly be returning and already looking at dates to come back. I think I have found my New favourite place
