The Shore at Katathani is built for couples who want a villa, a pool and the sea to themselves. The resort climbs the hillside above Kata Noi Beach, and guests keep returning to the same things: a large private pool with a view of the Andaman Sea, villas that feel secluded, and staff who go out of their way. Because it is adults only, the mood stays calm from breakfast to cocktails at The Lighthouse. The resort's layout does have its downsides, however. Getting around depends on buggies, and at busy times the wait can drag. Dining is limited for a longer stay, and some guests found the breakfast and restaurants below the standard of the villas. A few villas also show wear, from paint to air conditioning. Couples who plan to spend their days by their own pool will be very well looked after; those who want variety on the plate should plan some dinners in Kata.
