Tripplo's verdict, based on guest reviews
Tripplo’s analysis · Updated 1 October 2026 · How we review hotels
The Naka Phuket is for travellers who notice architecture. Its glass-fronted villas look out over the sea at Kamala, and guests talk about waking up to the Andaman Sea through floor-to-ceiling windows, swimming in their own pool and ending the day with a drink at The Nana as the sun sets. The staff are warm and attentive, the villas are large and spotless, and the mood is quiet, yet Patong is only a short ride away. The design does come with trade-offs, however. Not every pool is fully screened from neighbours, and the ground-floor villas miss much of the view. Dining is limited for a longer stay and prices in the restaurant and spa are high, while some villas are ready for a refresh. The beach below is rocky and the centre of Kamala is not within easy walking distance. Couples who want a stylish hideaway with a view will be very happy here; anyone who needs total privacy should ask for an upper-level villa.
Guests score it 9.0 out of 10 — the average across the 12 hotels we list on Phuket is 9.1.
What Guests Loved
- Guests return again and again to the design: floor-to-ceiling windows, clean lines and villas that feel modern and serene. For many, the aesthetic is the first thing they mention.
- Views of the Andaman Sea are a constant theme, from the villas, the pools and The Nana at sunset. Guests in villas on the upper levels are the most enthusiastic about the outlook.
Things to Consider
- Several guests found that their villa pool could be partly overlooked, which matters for anyone who wants complete privacy. Ground-floor villas also have less of a view, and one guest felt theirs was not worth it.
- Breakfast and the restaurants are generally liked, but some guests found little variety over a longer stay and felt the quality did not match the villas. Prices in the restaurant and the spa are considered high.
Should you book it?
The Naka Phuket is worth booking for couples who appreciate contemporary architecture and a pool of their own — but pick somewhere else if you need a pool that no one can see into.
