Superior Hotel Tirolerhof wins guests over with its people. The family-run house sits in the centre of Zell am See, a few steps from the lake and on the edge of the pedestrian zone, and guests praise the warm welcome, the breakfast and the spacious, spotless rooms. Two spa areas, the Elements Panorama Spa on the top floor and the 1,000 m² Aquarena with its indoor pool and saunas, make it easy to unwind. In winter the CityXpress gondola is about 450 m away, and a hotel shuttle takes skiers to its valley station in the morning. The drawbacks are practical. The rooms have no air conditioning and can stay warm on summer nights, parking spaces are limited, and some guests missed a kettle in the room. Skiers who like to walk into town after a day on the Schmittenhöhe, and couples who want the lake on the doorstep, are well placed here.
