Sri Panwa Phuket is for travellers who want a view and a pool of their own. The resort covers 40 acres of rainforest on top of Cape Panwa, and the villas, with infinity pools, sun decks and glass walls, look straight out over the Andaman Sea. The hilltop setting is also the main trade-off. The grounds are steep, so you depend on the buggy service to reach reception and the restaurants, and the airport is 42 km away. Couples who plan to stay put will find a secluded, well-run retreat; travellers who want to stroll out to town should look elsewhere.
