Tripplo's verdict, based on guest reviews
Tripplo’s analysis · Updated 1 October 2026 · How we review hotels
Paresa Resort Phuket is built for travellers who want to stay put and look at the sea. It clings to the cliff above Kamala on the Millionaires' Mile coast, and many of its villas and suites have their own infinity pool facing the Andaman Sea. Guests speak most warmly about the staff, whose service they describe as warm and attentive, and about the breakfast, the Thai cooking at Talung Thai and the sense of privacy. The Thai spa and cooking classes round out days that rarely need to leave the hillside. The cliff is also the main trade-off. You cannot walk to the beach, which is about a 7-minute drive away, and moving around the resort involves plenty of stairs. A few guests found the wet tiles slippery. Couples and honeymooners who want seclusion and a pool to themselves will find a calm, polished base; anyone who wants to stroll onto the sand or travels with small children may prefer a beachfront resort.
Guests score it 9.3 out of 10 — the average across the 12 hotels we list on Phuket is 9.1.
What Guests Loved
- The resort is built into the cliff above Kamala, so the sea fills the view from the rooms, the pools and the restaurant. Guests return again and again to the setting and the views when they describe their stay.
- Many villas and suites have their own infinity pool facing the sea, and guests describe the rooms as spacious, beautifully designed and thought through down to the smallest detail.
Things to Consider
- The cliffside position is what gives the views, but guests point out that you cannot walk down to the sand. The beach is about a 7-minute drive away, and several guests mention that taxis often want cash in baht and that ride-hailing cars can take a while to arrive.
- Getting around the resort means going up and down, and some guests had to climb two or three flights of stairs between their room and the main areas. Most see it as part of the character, but it is worth knowing if you find steps tiring.
Should you book it?
Paresa Resort Phuket is worth booking for couples and honeymooners who want privacy and a pool of their own — but pick somewhere else if you want to walk straight onto the beach.
