Kleopatra Beach is the most central option, with hotels within easy walking distance of the seafront, the old bazaar and landmarks such as Alanya Castle and the Red Tower — a good choice if you'd like to explore on foot. Okurcalar and Konakli, a short drive from the centre, suit those after larger resort complexes in quieter surroundings. Kestel, just south of town, has a handful of well-regarded beachfront hotels with private stretches of sand and a noticeably relaxed pace. Türkler, further west along the coast, is the pick for those who want genuine seclusion without sacrificing comfort.
For July and August — peak season, when European charter traffic is heaviest — three to five months ahead is wise. The best properties fill up quickly. In May, June and September the climate is still excellent but demand is lower, so one to two months' notice is usually sufficient. Suites, rooms with private pools and sea-facing categories should always be booked as early as possible, regardless of when you're travelling.
Five-star properties typically start at around £120–£200 per night during the shoulder season. In July and August prices rise noticeably, and the most sought-after resorts with private beaches and full spa facilities can run considerably higher. All-inclusive is essentially the norm in this part of Turkey, covering meals, drinks and many activities — which often makes the total cost better value than it appears at first glance.
Many of the larger resorts are very well set up for families, with children's clubs, waterparks, dedicated paddling pools and interconnecting rooms. That said, several properties on this list have a strong adults-only or couples focus — so it's always worth checking the hotel's profile before booking if travelling with children.
