“Overall this is a lovely hotel with a nice pool and the staff are very friendly and attentive, always remembering your room number and drinks preferences etc. The spa is good and the massages my daughter and I had were excellent, however the food was disappointing and not 5 star. The beach with private access and loungers, beach bar and beach restaurant were our favourite places to relax when in resort. Overall we enjoyed our stay - thank you.”

“We have just returned from a fabulous week in this beautiful resort. Mythos Palace is a little out of the way but it's perfect for those wanting to relax and unwind. Our room was spotlessly clean and was cleaned every day throughout our stay. The food was very good and there were lots of options and different themes every night. The entertainment was fantastic a different performance every night. The staff were very friendly and helpful Adriana on reception who was so lovely a real asset to the hotel.”

“Mythos Palace Resort & Spa is one of those places that quietly understands what a five-star holiday should be. Elegant, calm, immaculately maintained and recently refurbished, the entire property feels fresh, polished and exceptionally well organised. Cleanliness is taken seriously here — thankfully, unlike some hotels where “luxury” seems to be a philosophical concept rather than an observable fact. Located in Kavros, near Georgioupolis, the resort sits in a peaceful corner of Crete. There is very little nightlife in the immediate area, which is either a blessing or a tragedy depending on your relationship with midnight cocktails and loud music. For families, the playground, kids’ club and shallow pools work brilliantly. For couples, it offers exactly what many adults secretly crave: peace, comfort and the sound of waves instead of karaoke. The beach is wide, sandy, clean and gently sloping into the sea, making swimming easy and pleasant. Free sunbeds and umbrellas are provided. There are a few small pebbles at the water’s edge in places, and the large beach gazebos can partially block sea views from some of the rear sunbeds. Around the main pool, loungers may become scarce during peak season. Food is a genuine highlight. The three restaurants offer varied, high-quality cuisine with plenty of fresh fish, local Cretan specialities and surprisingly little repetition. The All Inclusive package also includes a wide selection of branded international spirits. The staff deserve special praise: warm, professional, helpful and consistently friendly without ever becoming intrusive. One small caveat: some lower-category “garden view” rooms overlook a lawn and a neighbouring hotel wall rather than anything particularly botanical. A refined, relaxing resort and an excellent base for exploring western and central Crete, including Chania and Rethymno. 4.5/5.”

“Very nice and friendly hotel, rooms are beautiful, meal is delicious and staff is perfect, it is like you come home, you feel very welcome here. This place is a lot of small things, thanks to them your stay is really grate.”

“I would think twice if you choose this location because of sea. It is common in June then I visit to have waves, hotel does not have any ponton to protect from waves and local safety stuff do not allow you to go swiming even then you see that waves are ok. Also life guards are very unfriendly.”
