Hotel Rasmushof Kitzbühel is made for guests who want to live right where Kitzbühel skis. The family-run hotel stands in the finish area of the Streif at the foot of the Hahnenkamm, with ski-to-door access, the Ganslern lift about 150 m away and the town centre a short walk off. Guests speak most warmly about the kind, helpful staff, the excellent breakfast and the Tyrolean character of the house, and in summer the hotel's own 9-hole golf course takes over from the slopes. The trade-offs lie indoors. Dinner does not reach the level of the breakfast, the country-style rooms feel rustic and could use an update, there is no air conditioning, and the pool and sauna close at 20:00. Skiing back to the door also means coming down the bottom of the Streif. Skiers and golfers who value location, tradition and personal service over modern design will feel at home here.
