Grecotel Corfu Imperial is made for guests who want the holiday to happen inside the resort. It occupies a private peninsula at Kommeno, so the sea frames almost every view, and four sandy beaches, several pools and gardens that run down to the water keep the days close at hand. Guests speak most warmly about the staff, the breakfast and the seafront restaurants, and families value the free kids' club and the larger family rooms. The same seclusion is the main trade-off. There is nothing to walk to, so trips to Corfu Town, about 12 km away, depend on the hotel shuttle or a taxi. In high season the sunbeds go early and pool service can slow down, and some rooms show their age in the bathrooms. Couples and families who plan to stay put will find a calm, well-run base; travellers who like to wander out for dinner are better served closer to town.
