Tripplo's verdict, based on guest reviews
Tripplo’s analysis · Updated 29 September 2026 · How we review hotels
For business travellers and sightseers seeking central wellness facilities, this hotel sits directly on Gustav Adolf Square. Guests receive complimentary access to the gym and sauna, and can admire the preserved 19th-century architectural heritage. On the downside, the historic structure leads to varied room dimensions, and the property has limited on-site private parking spaces.
Guests score it 8.4 out of 10 — the average across the 4 hotels we list in Malmö is 8.6.
What Guests Loved
- Situated directly on Gustav Adolf Square, the hotel provides immediate access to Malmö’s primary shopping districts and cultural landmarks, making it an efficient base for exploring the city on foot.
- The hotel is housed in a grand 19th-century structure where many original details have been maintained, offering an atmosphere of classic Swedish elegance that newer developments often lack.
Things to Consider
- The available private parking is limited and may reach capacity during busy periods; however, several secure public parking garages are located within a short walking distance of the entrance.
- Because the hotel occupies a historic building, room layouts are not standardized, meaning some spaces may feel more constrained than others depending on their specific position within the original floor plan.
Should you book it?
