Dorsia Hotel & Restaurant caters directly to design enthusiasts who value bold décor and premium comfort. It holds a Booking.com score of 9.8 across 707 reviews, alongside a Google rating of 4.5 from 1888 reviews. What Guests Loved
- The hotel departs from typical Scandinavian minimalism, utilizing rich velvets and bold color palettes to create a curated, theatrical atmosphere. This meticulous attention to detail provides a sensory experience that distinguishes it from standard luxury chains.
- Each guest room features Carpe Diem beds paired with Egyptian cotton linens, prioritizing physical comfort and sleep quality. These high-specification Swedish beds are noted for their pressure-relieving qualities and artisanal construction.
Things to Consider
- The ornate and colorful decor style is a deliberate choice that may not appeal to those who prefer neutral or understated environments. Guests who value visual simplicity might find the dense patterns and textures somewhat distracting.
- The property focuses on its culinary and bar offerings rather than physical fitness or spa amenities. Travelers for whom an on-site gym is a necessity will need to look to nearby third-party facilities in the city center.

Reviews from Google“Visited for the afternoon tea service in the summer and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. The hotel and restaurant spaces are beautifully decorated in a very particular old-time style which I feel people may love or may hate. In either case it lends itself very well to an afternoon tea type of setting. Earl grey was served, with as many refills as could be desired, but there were other options available as well. Coffee was also on offer, and several of us switched to this when it was time for sweets. Four "courses" were served: scones, cold sandwiches, cakes and sweets, and finally a raspberry sorbet. I came hungry and left completely full. Especially the sandwiches were absolutely delicious. Very nice afternoon out!”
“Very cute little hotel. My wife and I loved the decor, breakfast, and exceptional service. Some of the furniture in the rooms and dining area could use a revamp but overall it was a very pleasant stay.”
“I would give 10 stars if I could. Everything was absolutely perfect. The customer service was amazing. The decor was amazing, as was the restaurant. Every seat in the restaurant and lobby was a work of art and I wanted to eat at every table to enjoy the view. The location was perfect and the rooms were perfect. I can't wait to go back.”
“From the very beginning, the experience starts with the arrival. First, my senses were intrigued—honestly, it was a bit difficult to find the entrance, as there was no bright sign on the street, or at least none that I could clearly see in the dark since I arrived late in the evening. When I stepped into the reception area, I was met by a whirlwind of art and colourful impressions. I have rarely seen a hotel reception like this, despite spending more than 200 nights a year in hotels around the world. This place was something special—I could feel it immediately. I was welcomed by a receptionist who truly loved her job, something you don’t often see anymore. In perfect English, she told me about the hotel’s history, showed me around, and explained everything I needed to know to make my stay enjoyable. I felt genuinely well taken care of. The way to my room was easy—an elevator, clear directions—and the room itself was something quite unique. It was full of small thoughtful details: sparkling water by the bed, beautiful glassware, and high-quality porcelain for my coffee. I enjoy having coffee in my room, and seeing royal Danish porcelain here in Sweden actually made me quite happy. The quality of everything in the room, and the condition it was in, impressed me. There was absolutely no wear and tear, everything was spotless. It is rare to find a hotel room without a single stray hair or tiny dust particle—things that usually get overlooked because everything has to happen so fast these days. But here, it feels like everything is truly in order. They have taken their time, and they have put effort into it. It is genuinely a pleasure to visit a hotel where they care—where it isn’t just a business, but a passion. And you can see that here. The artworks on the walls aren’t cheap prints or reproductions bought online to create a certain “style.” The entire atmosphere feels created with heart and soul, and you sense that as a guest. That is why I will come back to Dorsia. Come here for an authentic experience—not just a hotel stay like you can get anywhere else. Here, you are not just checking into a hotel. You are visiting people who truly care about their guests.”
“Stunning hotel. Great location. Impeccable service. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. Wish we could have stayed longer.”
