Avani Plus Khao Lak Resort is a green, relaxed beach resort that works especially well for families. It sits by the sea near Bangsak beach, the grounds are lush and carefully kept, and trees along the shore give natural shade right by the water. Guests speak most warmly about the staff, who go out of their way from arrival to departure, and about pools, a waterpark and a kids' programme that keep children busy all day. The rooms, and the pool villas in particular, are praised for being beautiful and comfortable. The weak spot is dining.
