Villa VIK - Hotel Boutique is an adults-only hotel, and it is made for guests who want quiet above all. It sits in a residential street near Playa del Cable on the edge of Arrecife, 200 metres from a calm, sandy beach, with spacious rooms, a large heated pool and a hot tub in the garden. Because the hotel is so small, the pool is rarely busy, there is no background music and the staff get to know their guests; their warmth and care are what reviews return to most, followed by the food. The small size also has a downside. When the team is short-handed, service in the restaurant and bar slows down, and the dinner menu is brief. Apart from the beach there is little within walking distance, so shopping and dinners out mean a taxi, a bus or a 20-minute walk to Arrecife. Couples looking for rest and privacy will feel at home; travellers who want buzz around them should look elsewhere.
