“Our family had an absolutely amazing stay at Palazzo Doglio. It truly feels like a peaceful oasis right in the middle of Cagliari, offering a beautiful escape while keeping you connected to the city. The location was perfect for us traveling with a toddler. We easily walked to the marina, explored the historic zone, and visited the main shopping streets without any hassle. A huge logistical benefit for us was the on-site parking, which made exploring the wider region incredibly stress-free. Every morning started perfectly with a fantastic breakfast, and we were also highly impressed by the quality and equipment in the gym. We would love to come back and stay here again in a heartbeat. Because I personally had a hard time finding good video walkthroughs of the property before our trip, we made sure to capture our entire experience to help other travelers. “This was my first time in Cagliari and I was pleasantly surprised at the professionalism and care that the whole staff at the Palazzo Doglio exhibited during my four night stay at this beautiful new property. Although this is a 5 star hotel in every sense, the price per night was very reasonable. Old school value for my euro. I want to thank the front desk staff for patiently printing several long documents without charge and without complaint. My daily breakfast was even included in the cost of the room. This is a classy hotel with all the amenities of the 21st century but with classic Sardinian and Italian charm and hospitality. I salute the team at the Doglio and I look forward to my next stay at this well run property.”

“As someone who has studied hospitality, I rarely leave negative reviews, but Palazzo Dolio was a major disappointment. Our experience started before we even arrived. A hotel transfer that had been confirmed over email never showed up. Instead of apologising, the hotel initially tried to blame us until we produced the email trail proving the mistake was theirs. The biggest issue occurred during check-in when the elevator broke down, trapping my wife, me and an elderly couple inside for around 30 minutes. Mechanical failures happen, but what followed was unacceptable. Management never checked on us, never apologised, and reception even tried to blame us by incorrectly claiming we had exceeded the elevator’s capacity. After verifying that the elevator was indeed rated for five people, they still offered no apology. Throughout the incident, we felt we were treated differently from the elderly white couple who were with us. I cannot say why, but as an Indian couple, it certainly left us feeling uncomfortable and unfairly treated. The poor service continued at checkout when reception refused to help my 81-year-old father-in-law bring his luggage down, claiming there was no staff available. That is simply not the level of service one expects from a hotel marketing itself as five-star. The only saving grace was the restaurant and service staff, who were warm, professional and genuinely hospitable throughout our stay. A luxury hotel is defined by how it responds when things go wrong. Unfortunately, Palazzo Dolio’s management and front desk failed that test completely. I cannot recommend staying here.”

“The Hotel is beautiful. Nice rooms, staff is friendly and helpful. 15min walk from the main area where the restaurants are located. One detail I think it could be improved is the pillows. They are very thin! Besides that, everything was great.”
