The reception team was always warm and welcoming, the breakfast and dinner staff provided outstanding service, and the housekeeping ladies did an excellent job keeping everything spotless. The hotel is impeccably clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Its location is another major advantage, as it is conveniently situated close to Fira, Pyrgos, the airport, and many other beautiful places around the island, making it an ideal base for exploring Santorini. “A Strong Upper 4-Star Hotel, Not Quite 5-Star We recently stayed at Orama Hotel & Suites in Santorini as a family. Overall, we had a pleasant stay, but while the hotel has many strengths, it falls short of the standards expected from a true 5-star property. Pros Excellent location – Just a 10-minute walk from Fira town centre, making it easy to explore restaurants, shops, and attractions while enjoying a quieter setting. Outstanding reception staff – Smooth and efficient check-in. The team went above and beyond by explaining the island, recommending places to visit, and suggesting excellent restaurants. They were genuinely welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Great facilities – Three adult swimming pools and one children's pool, with plenty of sun loungers, so finding a place to relax was never an issue. Spacious rooms – We stayed in a Family Suite, which was ideal for a family and included two toilets, making it very convenient. Good breakfast – A good variety of options, including freshly prepared omelettes. Some rooms offer caldera views – Worth noting that the Family Suites do not have caldera views. Cons Service not up to 5-star standards – While reception was exceptional, the service in other areas was inconsistent. Poor housekeeping – We had to request English breakfast tea bags and milk almost every day during our four-night stay. Dirty cutlery was left in the room instead of being cleared, and the WC was not cleaned properly. Breakfast area poorly organised – Items such as spoons were in different places each day, making them difficult to find. One of the toasters was not working, and tables were not reset properly after guests left, with condiments and teaspoons often not being replaced promptly. Poor soundproofing – The rooms are not well soundproofed. We could hear noise from neighbouring rooms and the corridors, something that has also been mentioned by other guests. Overall, Orama Hotel & Suites has an excellent location, very good facilities, spacious rooms, and an outstanding reception team. However, improvements in housekeeping, restaurant organisation, room soundproofing, and overall service consistency are needed before it can truly be considered a 5-star hotel. I would happily recommend it as a very good upper 4-star property.”

“My friend and I had a truly wonderful two-night stay at Orama Hotel & Spa. Our flight arrived quite early, and we reached the hotel around 9:30 a.m. Although the official check-in time wasn’t until 3:00 p.m., the staff warmly welcomed us and kindly offered us a complimentary breakfast while we waited. It was such a thoughtful gesture and immediately set the tone for our stay. Even more impressively, they allowed us to check in early at 12:30 p.m., which we greatly appreciated after traveling. A special thank you to Maria, who helped us with the check-in process and made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. When we returned to the front desk after breakfast, the manager surprised us with an upgrade from a Junior Suite to a Suite, which was incredibly generous. The room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully maintained. A special thank you as well to Panos, the very helpful porter, who personally came to our room and carefully explained everything—from the AC/heat system to how to operate the windows and doors. His attention to detail and friendly attitude made us feel very comfortable. Breakfast each morning was excellent with a wonderful selection. The service was outstanding—George, Teo, and Iraklis were all incredibly attentive, welcoming, and accommodating to every guest. My friend and I have been traveling throughout Greece for about two and a half weeks, staying in five different hotels, and I can honestly say that Orama Hotel & Spa offered the best hospitality and accommodations of our entire trip. If I am fortunate enough to return to Santorini, there is no doubt that I will stay here again. I would highly, highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Santorini. The service, kindness, and attention to guests were absolutely exceptional. Thank you to the entire team at Orama Hotel & Spa for making our stay so memorable. 🌟”

“Very happy with our stay at Orama. A beautiful place, rooms are clean, very friendly and attentive staff. You have an enormous choice for the breakfast. The restaurant and bar are open all day, which is convenient. The food can be delivered to your room, so you can enjoy it outside at your terrace if you like. I also tried the spa treatments, and they were excellent.”

“Overall, Orama Hotel & Spa is a beautiful property. The pool area was great, and our room itself was very nice. One thing to note is that the bathroom setup may be awkward for some people, as there is not a fully separate bathroom area, just a blurred glass door for the shower and toilet. The highlight of our stay was definitely the customer service from Vasilis. He was extremely kind, welcoming, and helpful, even when we arrived around 3 a.m. after a long night of travel and a delayed flight. His attitude made a really positive impression on us. We also really appreciated that after checkout, the hotel held our luggage for the day and still allowed us to use the showers and bathrooms before leaving. That was a very convenient and thoughtful service. Unfortunately, the reason I’m giving 3 stars is because on our final morning, we woke up to an awful cigarette smell in our room. My wife and I are not smokers, and the smell seemed to be coming through the HVAC/AC system. It was strong enough that it woke us up early, and we couldn’t comfortably stay in the room. When we called the front desk, the staff seemed skeptical and did not make us feel like the issue was taken seriously. A staff member came to the room and acknowledged that he smelled it, but said he had no idea where it could be coming from. There was no real apology or effort made to address the situation. To be fair, we were checking out that morning, so there may not have been much they could do in terms of moving us to another room. However, the situation felt brushed off and unresolved. It was disappointing because up until that point, we had a very good impression of the hotel. Hopefully this was just a one-off issue, but the way it was handled left us feeling like there was little concern for our experience.”
