Tripplo's verdict, based on guest reviews

By Axel Hernborg · Updated 3 September 2026 · How we review hotels

Andronis Luxury Suites is best for travellers seeking dramatic cave suites and elite cliffside dining. It boasts a high booking score of 9.5 from 85 reviews. The suites are carved directly into the caldera cliffside, offering private outdoor hot tubs with Aegean views. Guests are within walking distance of Oia and can dine at the renowned Lycabettus Restaurant. Mind that there are steep steps throughout the property, and lower-level terraces have limited privacy.

Carved into the dramatic cliffs of Oia, Andronis Luxury Suites masterfully pairs minimalist Cycladic architecture with sweeping Aegean views. The property offers a refined, tranquil sanctuary featuring cave-style suites and exceptional cliffside dining. It is best suited for couples and honeymooners seeking a sophisticated, quiet retreat within walking distance of Santorini's most famous village.

Guests score it 9.5 out of 10 — the average across the 17 hotels we list in Santorini is 9.4.

  • The accommodations respect traditional Cycladic architecture, offering cave-style structures that naturally regulate temperature while providing an authentic Aegean living experience.
  • Most suites feature their own private heated pools or hot tubs positioned on the edge of the terrace, offering uninterrupted views of the volcanic caldera.

The best hotel service I have ever experienced. Full stop. We stayed at Andronis Luxury Suites in Oia for three nights as part of a birthday celebration, and it set a new standard for what hospitality can look like. The rooms are carved into the volcanic rock — cave suites with private pools, extraordinarily spacious and almost completely silent. Oia at its most beautiful. One practical note: request an upper-level suite, as the lower rooms involve a significant staircase. Worth it either way, but worth knowing before you book. What truly separated Andronis from every other hotel we’ve stayed at was the service. At check-in, the team walked us through our entire itinerary — what we had booked, what they could help with, what they’d recommend. A bottle was waiting in our room on arrival. The WhatsApp concierge was responsive and thoughtful throughout the stay. But the moment that defined it all: the night before our 7am departure, they messaged us unprompted — “Since you’re leaving early, would you like us to have coffee and something to eat ready for you to take?” They were thinking about us before we thought to think about ourselves. That is the difference between good hospitality and exceptional hospitality. The Lycabettus Restaurant on property is a must — three-hour gastronomy dinner on an outdoor terrace with the caldera spread in front of you. Book it for your arrival night. You won’t regret it.

Third time in Santorini, first time at Andronis. Should have come sooner. The suite was cave-style with a private terrace and a jacuzzi that faced the caldera we watched the sunset from it every single evening, which in Oia is basically a competitive sport. Andronis wins. The Lycabettus restaurant deserves its own review. We booked it on a whim for our last night and ended up wishing we'd gone every night. The food is genuinely excellent not just "good for a hotel restaurant" excellent, just excellent, full stop. The wine list leans heavily Greek, which is the right call. Service throughout was low-key and confident the kind where things just happen without you having to ask twice. The stairs are steep and there are many of them, so pack light and don't pretend otherwise. Small price to pay.

This place was the highlight, what an amazing view from this hotel, the food was great, but what made it stand out is the service, the staff is completely amazing, Michael who greeted us when we checked in, the help throughout the stay, Vasilius who brought welcome drinks to our room and served us during breakfast and everyone else who's name I don't remember, they were all amazing. You guys really know how to make people feel like royalty. Thank you. 5 stars for everyone!!

We stayed in a water retreat suite. Amazing room Amazing views Service was exceptional And great location in the middle of oia Would highly recommend allows you to get up early see the sites whilst its quiet. Head bacl to the room and relax before heading out for dinner once the crowds have died down a bit in the evening.

Andronis luxury Suites is hands down one of the best hotels in Santorini. It's been almost 2 yrs, but our memory is still so vivid for this dreamy, heavenly place on the earth. Pictures can't define everything, it was something that we could not experience before. The view was just like the ones from magazines, I could not believe what I was watching in my eyes. It was my first time to visit Greece, and I just felt that the word of beauty prob was originated from this land. As overlooking Aegean sea, you could truly feel like you're in the greek myth stories. Besides of this unrealistically beautiful views, their service was also top notch. Every staff members of the hotel were very welcoming, making your stay comfortable and fulfilling most of your needs. We stayed at 2 different types of room, and each of them had unique charms that we truly enjoyed. The floating breakfast at our private infinity pool suite (room Alexandra) was quite memorable, which wasn't just a pretty look but also fresh and tasty. Having an espresso in your own private pool in the morning with the perfect-panoramic view? Oh yes. We also loved their Lycabettus Restaurant. Everyone was super nice, giving us good vibes among the trip as well. Foods were delicious too. If you're staying, this is the must-try! And the Spa - we went back twice and it was worth it for every pennies. The atmosphere is so calming, both of us fell asleep right away after the spa session started. It's like the ancient isolated spa cave. The body oil products they're using smelled incredibly nice, we ended up getting them and bringing back to our home for a self-care (it is important lol). From the first step till the end, this place gave us the unforgettable moments. We truly appreciated it.
