Tripplo's verdict, based on guest reviews
By Axel Hernborg · Updated 30 August 2026 · How we review hotels
Ikos Andalusia is best for travellers seeking comprehensive dining and wellness on the coast. Backed by a Booking.com score of 9.3 from 79 reviews and a Google rating of 4.6 from 1088 reviews, it provides direct access to Estepona's shoreline, a thermal circuit, and dedicated zones for families and couples. Note that its contemporary design lacks regional architectural details, and the beach itself is not the resort's greatest strength.
Guests score it 9.3 out of 10 — the average across the 11 hotels we list in Marbella is 9.1.
The 30-second verdict
What Guests Loved
- The resort is positioned directly on the sand, providing guests with immediate entry to the shoreline. Serviced loungers and organized beach activities allow for a seamless transition from the hotel to the water.
- The wellness center incorporates a structured thermal circuit including a sauna, steam room, and hot tub. This facility offers a quiet environment for recovery and relaxation away from the main swimming areas.
Things to Consider
- The sleek, modern aesthetic of the buildings prioritizes clean lines and natural light over traditional Spanish influence. Guests seeking the rustic charm of white-washed Andalusian architecture may find the atmosphere somewhat clinical.
- While the secluded beachfront location offers privacy, the historic center of Estepona is several kilometers away. Guests wishing to explore local boutiques and traditional plazas will need to rely on taxis or rental cars.
Should you book it?
Ikos Andalusia is worth booking for families and couples wanting separate pool zones — but pick somewhere else if you want to walk to Estepona's historic centre.

Reviews from Google“What an incredible stay! This is honestly the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Everything was exceptional from the moment we arrived. The hotel was beautiful, the staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive, and nothing was too much trouble. They showed the World Cup so you never miss a moment, the hospitality was fabulous! The food was absolutely sublime—every meal was delicious and beautifully presented. The attention to detail throughout the hotel was outstanding, and it made for a truly relaxing and memorable experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone, and I can’t wait to return. Thank you to everyone for making our stay so special!”
“Our stay at Ikos Andalusia was exceptional from start to finish. The standout feature was the incredible staff—every member of the team was warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our holiday special. The variety of restaurants and cuisines was outstanding, with something to suit every taste. Every meal was beautifully prepared, and the quality of the food was consistently excellent. It really felt like fine dining throughout the resort. The amenities are fantastic, and the selection of pools means there's a perfect spot whether you're looking to relax in peace or enjoy time with family. The resort is beautifully maintained, and every detail has been thoughtfully designed to create a luxurious and stress-free experience. Overall, Ikos Andalusia exceeded our expectations in every way. If you're looking for a luxury all-inclusive resort with exceptional service, incredible food, and first-class facilities, this is the place to be. We can't wait to return!”
“I suspect I share many of the reasons why a busy parent, with kids, will choose an all-inclusive resort: no hassle, no hidden costs, value for money, great service, and frankly no worries. I got all of this from Ikos Andalusia. Caveat, we paid extra for the deluxe package. So I can only speak for that. The service was incredible! I cannot speak highly enough. They are all friendly, really look after you and very responsive. They adapted to accommodate things when it rained a couple of days and they're just great. Special mentions go out to the following people who made our stay wonderful: Matias, Cia (the sommelier), Johan, Jose (sommelier), Jose Antonio, Erika, Dora, Josh, Cristina, Yegor, Alexandru (he was our personal concierge and was fabulous), and Ana. The food was good. They had a great selection of restaurants to choose from. As it gets very busy, I recommend you book what you want for your whole stay in advance. I recommend booking before you arrive. Well worth it and reduces the hassle. Not their fault if it's too busy and they can't switch you around. The rooms were nice. They're not fancy, but they're very clean and well-maintained. The view of the sea was really nice. The facilities are great. You find hidden gems as you explore the resort. What was really cool is that even though they were at full occupancy, it never felt crowded. That adds to the relaxation. Overall, recommend this place highly!”
“Ikos truly stole our hearts. From the very first moment, we felt not like guests, but like part of a family. Every single detail is thoughtfully designed, creating an atmosphere where you feel genuinely welcomed, cared for, and completely at home. The atmosphere is incredibly relaxing, and the staff takes care of you every second of your stay with such warmth and professionalism. The food is simply outstanding — not only in the à la carte restaurants, but also at the buffet, where every dish feels fresh, refined, and made with love. The quality of the drinks is also exceptional and truly elevates the whole experience. A special mention goes to the housekeeping team, who maintain impeccable cleanliness and make sure everything is always perfect. And from the bottom of our hearts, thank you to Lilou at reception, Juan from the Chiringuito team, and Darko, the restaurant manager. You made this holiday the best vacation of our lives with your kindness, attention, and genuine care. Ikos is not just a hotel — it’s a feeling, a place you never want to leave and can’t stop thinking about after coming home. We will absolutely be back again. Thank you for unforgettable memories❤️”
“We just came back from our trip to Ikos Andalusia. We went there from Tuesday till Sunday. It was absolutely amazing. Such kind and accommodating staff. They met our every need, even needs we didn't know we had! For our check-in we were greeted with such warmth by a lovely young lady who's name I unfortunately forgot. She set the mood for our whole holiday. The food was amazing but make sure to make reservations in advance because it can be fully booked pretty quickly. The pools were lovely and 24/7 roomservice is such a nice service to have. The beach is very accessible and their live music was a wonderful way to end our night every day. We will be back to Ikos for sure! Kind regards, Amy”
