Tripplo's verdict, based on guest reviews

Gran Oasis Resort occupies a tranquil position between Playa de las Américas and Los Cristianos, overlooking the lush greens of a championship golf course. Its apartment-style suites and extensive pool facilities make it a practical choice for families and golfers seeking a self-contained retreat in Tenerife.
  • The resort borders the professional greens of Las Américas, offering guests immediate access to the course and a quiet atmosphere removed from the busiest parts of the coastal strips.
  • Each unit functions as a private residence with integrated kitchenettes and separate living spaces, accommodating families who prefer more autonomy and square footage during their stay.

The hotel is located on the outskirts of Playa de Las Americas, but this suited us just fine as we were with our 9 year old granddaughters. The hotel was spotlessly clean, with staff continually cleaning and clearing up after what we, the guests left lying around. Sorry! The food was lovely and there was plenty of choice for children and adults alike. The salad bars were fabulous. The pools were heated and there were 5 in total to suit all ages. Our girls never left the pool all day. There were ample sunbeds and you don’t need to get up early to get them, unless you perhaps want a poolside bed. The suites were super clean and the bathroom appeared to have been refreshed recently. Air conditioning units and balcony’s in each floor, with 2 TVs and a great choice of channels if you wanted to catch up with some home TV. The absolute STARS of the whole experience were the staff. They were amazing, so helpful, so friendly and truly made the holiday. Nothing was ever an issue and if any of you are reading this, I want you to know how fabulous you are and how important you are to the visitor experience. I think a family based hotel really brings different challenges to how it is staffed, and ALL the staff were just so tolerant of little ones whether they were over excited or upset, this really helps us parents, grandparents, etc. THANK YOU 🙏 We’ll see you again with our girls in a couple of years.

Just returned from our 3rd all inclusive stay at Gran Oasis and the hotel facilities have improved every time. The rooms are spacious, clean and well maintained. We stayed in a room with a private rooftop Solarium overseeing the hotel and great views of Los Cristianos. The pool, entertainment and hotel facilities are excellent including the Spa and kids play areas. The food selection is brilliant and varies every day with different themes and inspirations. The hotel, bar and restaurant staff are all very friendly, accommodating, and responsive to questions and suggestions. Sincere appreciation goes to Marina, Vera, Miguel, Christian and Javier for all their good humour, attentive care and skills as great hosts! We highly recommended Gran Oasis for familes of all ages and can't wait for our next visit! Muchas Gracias! :-)

The room was comfortable, although as we had a second double bed we lacked a couple of chairs to sit in rather than on the bed. The spread and range of food was consistently great. Loved the diffrent themed nights and always found something tasty. Offered GF options and when asked provided bread alternatives. Entertainment was good and fun in the evening although I think it was not as strong during the day for a teenager.

Honestly the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. How this is so highly rated as a “family” hotel I don’t know. Access is terrible if you have a double buggy so keep that in mind. Stairs everywhere so buggies in general is an awful carry on. ALL rooms have a full flight of stairs and their solution is a single baby gate so to avoid your toddlers getting near them you’ll be stuck on a sofa bed for the entire duration of your stay. On arrival we were handed one bag with a bottle of water and a cheese sandwich. 3 bags for 9 guests. Recieption staff are completely unhelpful, on our last day we paid for late checkout, weren’t getting picked up til after 7… asked nicely to feed my children before being picked up as I knew the airport would have been murder. Told absolutely not and that we were given breakfast and the snack bar ‘ out of the goodness of their heart’ as if we hadn’t just paid for a 7 day all inclusive holiday?? So a relaxing holiday was spend completely on edge at the unsafe environment for our children. So all in all it was an awful 5.5 day all inclusive week! Would STRONGLY avoid it you have children under 5!

We have stayed at this hotel for 2 years our first year was alright the room was good it was clean, spacious, but our second year which was 20 June 2026- 5 July 2026, It was shocking, the food was decent although they had the same stuff on rotation every week, I believe they need to change it up and have more variety, most of the signage for the food wasn’t correctly lined up with the food and was. Guessing game, I have a nut allergy and wasn’t sure what I could eat. The location is at the top a hill there is nothing much they could do although I would recommend the hotel creating a free bus service into las Americas, on to the room, my television kept turning itself on for the full duration of the 2 weeks I was there, at 2am 3am 4am 5am and 6am and while we were out of the room, the shower pressure is good but the temperature is not, it’s freezing and when it is warm doesn’t stay warm for long, and then the shower itself broke. And then my ac kept breaking so it was too hot, they did eventually fix but broke multiple times after this I tried calling reception but the phones weren’t working, so had to use our own phones and got charged only a few days left of our holiday and they tell us we could’ve used WhatsApp! And may times walking and complaining, entertainment was mainly Focused on children, nothing really good for adults, I think the all inclusive opens late and closes too early and the beer is cheap crap which makes you feel bloated and ill, dirty nappies on the side near the pool sopping wet, having to tell them to move it although there is staff near the pool, there was a couple arguing and having a domestic and nothing was done about it. During the football multiple people were sitting in plastic chairs which were snapping this happened to 2 guests. People reserving sunbeds early in a morning even when they weren’t in the hotel this was majority of the sunbeds but when I tried reserving a sunbeds I’d actually use I got caught! I wouldn’t usually do this it was to see what they would do, they also said they would get us 2 sunbeds at the start of our holiday but they never came. Cleaning staff woke us up every morning early even when there was a sign in the door which was telling them not to come in (in Spanish) so they understood but did it anyway, even so they should make an effort to understand English as most of their customers are English how can you give good customer service if you cannot understand our needs? Beds are so uncomfortable I have hurt my shoulders and back really badly it’s still hurting now and I’ve been home 2 days, check out is quite late which is good but it’s way too expensive, for 7 hours it was gonna cost €90 and this didn’t even include the all inclusive, it was gonna cost an extra €60 each (there is 2 of us) but our flight was in the 4 but late but I had paid till the 5th it’s absolutely disgusting, they did the same to this other family with kids said they couldn’t eat any of the food and would have to pay for all inclusive service and the children went hungry till our transfer collected us, also while I’m on the topic of food birds were flying in and out of the dining hall eat the food and the staff allowed this and the still served this, they could shut the window but chose not to. This holiday was meant for me and my partner to relax as we have had some bad news early this year about a family member and it was just stress after stress after stress and we just wanted to go home come our second week. It’s alright for kids but boring for everyone else
