What guests say
Reviews from Google“We recently stayed at Finca Serena for four nights for a wedding, and we cannot recommend it enough. It truly felt like a luxury stay with a Spanish vibe. The staff were so friendly and attentive, and thr resort itself was spectacular - the views, the pools, the spa and the rooms were all 5 stars. A big shoutout to the restaurant for all the amazing food they put on too. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a more remote and relaxing stay in Mallorca.”
“We were really looking forward to our stay at Finca Serena – which makes what happened all the more disappointing. On the evening of April 15, my wife and I had dinner at the restaurant (total cost for two: €170). The food was overall okay – not bad, but also not at the level one would expect from a Michelin Guide restaurant. That same night, however, I developed severe symptoms consistent with food poisoning: continuous vomiting, diarrhea, and intense chills, likely due to dehydration. Sleep was impossible, and it was an extremely distressing and concerning experience. Why we believe there may be a connection to the restaurant: my last meal before dinner was at lunchtime, which I shared with my pregnant wife – she remained completely symptom-free. At dinner, we had different dishes, and again, she experienced no symptoms. From our perspective, this strongly suggests that the cause may have been related to the dinner. This is particularly concerning given that my wife is pregnant. In such a sensitive situation, one expects the highest standards of hygiene and food safety. The response from Finca Serena was disappointing. While they apologized that I “felt this way,” it came across as a rather distant, standard response. At the same time, they emphasized that all standards are upheld at the highest level and pointed out that no other complaints were reported that evening – implying that the issue could not have originated from the restaurant. However, it is worth noting that I was served, among other things, a poached egg that was noticeably cool to lukewarm and, in this form, was apparently not consumed by other guests. In this context, we are left with serious doubts. Equally disappointing was the way the situation was handled on-site: at no point did the hotel manager consider it necessary to address the matter personally. All communication took place solely through the front desk. The impact was not limited to that night – I was effectively completely out of action and confined to bed for the following 48 hours. Despite this, our request for a full refund of the dinner and a 50% reduction of the first night’s accommodation was not accepted. Only my dinner (approx. €70) was removed from the bill, which we consider the bare minimum given the circumstances. We also escalated the complaint via email to a higher level of management. Even one week later, we have not received any response, which further adds to the negative overall impression. All in all, this was a very disappointing experience. From a luxury retreat, we expect not only a beautiful setting but also responsibility, empathy, and an appropriate response to situations like this. We are happy to pay a premium for quality and service – but we also expect to be treated accordingly. Unfortunately, this was not our experience at Finca Serena, and we cannot recommend it. We have also reported the matter to the health authorities in Mallorca as a precaution and encourage others who have similar experiences to consider doing the same.”
“I'm honestly so let down. I had high hopes for this stay, but the whole experience was just miserable. The staff were so incredibly rude, I felt like a total inconvenience from the moment I checked in. To make matters worse, I got really sick after eating at the restaurant. For a place that claims to be high-end or "Michelin" level, the food was definitely not fresh. Spending the rest of my trip with food poisoning was the last thing I expected for the price I paid. It’s honestly a joke. I won’t be back.”
“Beautiful hotel in the Majorca countryside. The room was nice and bed was very comfortable. Excellent location and setting for unwinding. The included breakfast was truly excellent in quality and taste and with good variety, you have buffet and à la cart options. One of the best I’ve had at a hotel in a long time. Dinner was also excellent with 3 course options for 70 euros/person. Had asked for an iron the front desk said would deliver to room but never did until asked the 2nd time. Shower with good water pressure however really could use more light in there as the only light was low in the ground so essentially showering in darkness. Overall, would definitely come back. Only disappointment was the upgrade from regular garden room to deluxe garden room. The hotel was probably 50% full, was expecting with Chase Edit there would be an upgrade to at least something of a suite. Not sure that Chase Edit would be worth it if booking with cash.”
“Poor check in experience… room wasn’t ready (which is totally fine), but wouldn’t bring bags back for us from luggage room. Made us change in luggage room across the hotel with bugs / spiderwebs vs bringing the luggage to change in a proper restroom We’ve also had an issue with the air conditioning (see other reviews). Broke randomly in the middle of the night and they don’t have anyone on site to fix it “will need to speak to manager later” Forgot to book my wife’s spa appointment after discussing live and then they “were fully booked” Run, don’t walk from this place. I’d rather stay at a motel 6 (which is great) Listen to the other real reviews”
