“We had a fantastic experience at Ella Rocrita in Mochlos, Crete, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable vacation. The staff throughout the hotel were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and attentive. We especially appreciated Kaliopi from Guest Services, who was always available to help, answer questions, and greet us with a warm smile. Her recommendations and assistance truly enhanced our stay. We had the opportunity to enjoy several of the hotel's restaurants, and each offered excellent food and service. The property itself is beautiful, with lovely pools and a relaxing atmosphere. On days when we stayed at the resort, we enjoyed spending time by the pool and indulging in some wonderful spa treatments. The surrounding area is also perfect for daily excursions, offering plenty to see and do. The hotel can conveniently arrange private transportation, making it easy to explore nearby attractions and villages. Overall, Ella Rocrita provided the perfect balance of relaxation, hospitality, and adventure. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning in the future.”

“We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it. The views were absolutely beautiful and one of the highlights of our holiday. The beach was almost empty everyday we visited, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet. The food was excellent, with a great variety of options every day. We especially loved that there were several places around the resort where you could grab something to eat throughout the day, so you were never short of choice. There were also plenty of activities and facilities to keep everyone entertained. The resort offers fantastic sports options, including tennis, padel, a well-equipped gym, and a variety of fitness classes. We also enjoyed the spa facilities and the arcade gaming area, which added even more fun to our stay. A special mention goes to Bryan at the bar, whose welcoming attitude, excellent drinks, and exceptional service truly made our stay special. He always greeted everyone with a smile and helped create a very friendly atmosphere. Thank you to the entire team for making our holiday so enjoyable. We would happily return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with plenty to do!”

“Ella Rocrita is a wonderful place to disconnect from the stress of everyday life. The peaceful atmosphere, beautiful surroundings, and warm hospitality make it a perfect choice for a relaxing holiday, whether you're travelling as a couple or with your family. I had a massage with EJ because I struggle with fluid retention in my legs, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. EJ is highly professional, knowledgeable, and clearly very experienced. She took the time to understand my needs, explained what she was doing, and regularly checked that the pressure was comfortable throughout the treatment. I left feeling much lighter, deeply relaxed, and could already notice an improvement afterwards. I would highly recommend booking a treatment with EJ if you're staying at the hotel. She genuinely cares about her clients and delivers every treatment with great skill and attention to detail.”

“★☆☆☆☆ 1/5 – Very Disappointing Stay My wife and I stayed at this hotel for four days with our 1-year-and-8-month-old son, expecting a relaxing family vacation. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing from the moment we arrived and continued throughout our stay. Upon arrival, we had to wait almost an hour beyond the official check-in time before our room was ready. Traveling with a young child is challenging enough, and this delay set the tone for the rest of our stay. The biggest issue was the complete lack of a baby cot. We requested one shortly after arriving and followed up repeatedly throughout the afternoon and evening. We asked more than seven times and were assured each time that it was being taken care of. Despite this, by 9:00 PM there was still no cot in our room. Our son was exhausted and had nowhere appropriate to sleep. The cot eventually arrived around 9:30 PM, after hours of chasing the staff. It is hard to understand how a hotel that caters to families can fail to provide such a basic necessity in a timely manner. To make matters worse, when we raised our concerns and requested compensation for the inconvenience and poor handling of the situation, the hotel refused to offer any meaningful solution or compensation. We felt that our concerns were simply ignored. There were also several maintenance issues that negatively affected our stay. One night, the air conditioning stopped working due to a power outage, making the room uncomfortable and difficult to sleep in. On another night, a smoke detector continuously beeped throughout the night, once again disrupting our sleep. These are basic issues that should have been resolved immediately, especially in a hotel that presents itself as a quality destination. Another frustrating experience involved the kids’ club. We paid €40 for 2.5 hours of childcare, expecting our son to be supervised and engaged in activities. Instead, when we returned, we discovered that he had been put to sleep for approximately 1.5 hours during the morning, despite that not being part of his normal routine. As parents, we found this unacceptable. Not only did we pay for a service we did not truly receive, but it also disrupted our son’s schedule and affected the rest of the day for our family. Throughout the four days we stayed at the hotel, the level of service consistently fell below expectations. Responses were slow, communication was poor, and there was very little sense of responsibility when problems arose. Combined with the maintenance issues and lack of attention to guest needs, the overall experience was far from what we expected. We chose this hotel expecting a family-friendly experience, but unfortunately it turned out to be one of the most disappointing hotel stays we have had. For families traveling with young children, reliability, responsiveness, and basic accommodations are essential. Sadly, this hotel failed on all three. Based on our experience, we would not recommend this hotel and would not choose to stay here again.”
