“We enjoyed 3 nights of our honeymoon at El Faro. We had a sea garden deluxe room, which had a large private patio overlooking the sea. We were impressed with the service, and honestly, the food I had at their restaurant for dinner was the best I had for a week. The breakfast was a good spread of food. And everything was labeled for allergies. I am lactose intolerant which can be a problem with desserts, pastries and breakfast items. My husband is allergic to shellfish. El Faro had selections that suited both our needs. We loved the solitude of the surroundings with a national park around, while conversely close proximity to Alghero (under 20 min). The sea access is rocky, but once you get used swimming off the ladder, it’s fun. In Sardinia the water is so salty, you float. There’s a diving center nearby and other beaches also. I wish now that i had tried the spa.”

It’s becoming rare nowadays to find a place that not only meets but exceeds its online promise, El Faro absolutely does. Its a great value for money! The location is breathtaking, perched right on the sea with sweeping views and direct access to the water. The property blends beautifully with the natural surroundings and offers a sense of space and serenity that’s hard to come by. The hotel is spotless, with nice rooms and larger-than-expected bathrooms. The sea-view rooms are simply unforgettable, the sunsets alone are worth the trip. We also loved the thoughtful extras like game boards in the bar area and the many quiet corners to relax and take in the scenery. The food is excellent, and the parking is easy, right at the front. Alghero is just a 15 minute drive. Above all the staff are warm, polite, and professional, making the whole experience feel seamless and welcoming. We’re already planning to return, not just to Sardinia, but to El Faro itself. A rare gem that delivers on every level.”

“Fantastic hotel. One of the best I have ever stayed at. Great breakfast with vegan options, beautiful view, beautiful pools and friendly staff. The bed was a little firm for my liking but that's a minor point. Will definitely return.”

“BEWARE. The location of the hotel and the beach are 10/10 if you can stomach being swindled by the staff of this hotel, the terrible (and at times non-existing) service and wafer-thin walls. Check your receipts three times, check prices, and ask for everything in writing. Hope that the rooms next to yours are empty. Also, don’t waste money on the spa, it’s below-par, they skimp on massage oil, or the pool bar, the food is terrible and overly expensive. The same staff is working at the overpriced restaurant and they barely speak any english. The breakfast is very limited. If you want *luxury* items such as fried eggs or pancakes, you have to pay extra.”

“Beautiful location right on the beach. We were genuinely taken a back by the setting they have, the photos on their website and online do not do this place justice at all. So many lounge chairs to lie by the pool or beach with lots of privacy. Views are breathtaking! We were there in mid-may and the resort was quiet so it was very peaceful and relaxing. Breakfast was great! We didn't have any other food so can't comment. Rooms were a good size with a massive balcony / terrace. Would highly recommend and I look forward to staying here again!”
