The compromises are clear. There is no pool, only a hot tub in the small spa area, so beach days start with a short walk. Rooms on the garden or lower level have small windows and little view, and a few guests found twin beds where they expected a double. Ask for an upper floor with a balcony and confirm the bed type in advance. Do that, and it is an easy, stylish base for exploring Samos; if you picture lazy days by a hotel pool, look at a resort outside town.
