“What we loved about Creta Maris: * The staff were exceptionally warm, welcoming, and genuinely went out of their way to find us a room that matched our preferences. * The gardens and the resort grounds are beautifully landscaped and impeccably maintained. * Everything you could possibly need is conveniently available on-site, including several shops and a supermarket. * The beach is stunning, with crystal-clear water and a relaxing atmosphere. * Finding available sunbeds was never an issue, even during busy hours. * The resort’s mobile app is intuitive and very convenient to use. * The Greek restaurant was by far the highlight of the dining experience, serving the best food on the property. What we didn’t like: * The room falls well below what we would expect from a 5-star resort. It feels quite basic, and the bathroom is equally underwhelming. * Most drinks, including the wine, are dispensed from machines and are of noticeably poor quality. Considering the resort costs around €600 per night, this is very disappointing. * The overall food quality is average (around 6–7/10). The vegetables lacked freshness and flavor, which was particularly surprising given Greece’s reputation for excellent produce. * The à la carte restaurants were also disappointing. Even at the steakhouse, guests have to pay extra for a quality steak, which feels out of place at a luxury all-inclusive resort. * The resort can be quite noisy in the evenings, with entertainment and activity continuing until late at night, making it difficult to enjoy a peaceful atmosphere.”

“We had such an amazing stay at Creta Maris Resort and can’t wait to return! We visited a few years ago with our toddler, and it remains one of our favourite family holidays. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help, which made us feel at home throughout our stay. The food was excellent, with so much variety that there was always something for everyone, including little ones. The location is fantastic, with everything you need nearby and easy access to the beach and local area. One of the biggest highlights for our family was the water park, it was absolutely amazing and kept our toddler entertained for hours. It really made the resort stand out from others we’ve visited. We made so many wonderful family memories here, and we’re already planning to come back. We would highly recommend Creta Maris Resort to anyone looking for a relaxing, family friendly holiday with excellent facilities.”

“We had a lovely time here over the UK May half term holiday. Weather was perfect and the setting and grounds are beautiful. The Alatsi, Arismari and Mademi restaurants and the Vegera lounge bar are gorgeous and felt luxurious. We had a pool view bungalow which was very spacious , peaceful and comfortable. Service was great as were the cocktails. Really enjoyed the waterpark too. Knocking off a star for the following reasons: 1.Not enough sunbeds round the main pool. Could easily fit another row down the right hand side which would help 2.food hit and miss. Our food at Alatsi was very over salted in particular the beetroot risotto starter and the veg with the sea bream. 3.Nowhere to get ice cream round the main pool! Could easily serve ice cream at the smoothie place? 4.Lunch options felt repetitive by the end of the week. Just a few small tweaks above and it could be perfect!”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Creta Maris Resort – Honest Review After 10 Days Before booking Creta Maris Resort, I spent months comparing hotels and reading reviews, so during our stay I paid attention to all the details I wanted to know beforehand. We booked the most basic Standard Double Room as part of a package holiday. Although it hadn't been renovated yet, it was clean, comfortable and exceeded our expectations. We were pleasantly surprised with a partial sea view above Enomy Restaurant. The air conditioning worked perfectly, housekeeping was excellent, and the bathroom was well equipped with quality toiletries, bathrobes, toothbrushes and even disposable razors. The only downside was the refrigerator, which was surprisingly noisy at night. The sea is one of the hotel's biggest strengths. Crystal-clear water, almost no seaweed and a very gentle entrance make it ideal for families with children. During our 10-day stay we had waves on most days, but they were never dangerous and actually made swimming more enjoyable. The only real disappointment on the beach was the lack of warning signs for the large underwater rocks on the right side near the Aperol Spritz Bar. I hit one while diving on our first morning. A few warning signs could easily prevent accidents. The second issue is the sunbeds. Guests start reserving them very early, often using extra towels to occupy more loungers than they actually need. By 9 AM it was sometimes already difficult to find a free sunbed in the best area. Enomy Restaurant was one of the highlights of our holiday. The quality of the ingredients was outstanding. Instead of offering hundreds of dishes, the restaurant focuses on freshness and taste. As someone who usually prefers meat, I was genuinely impressed by the traditional Greek vegetable dishes with eggplant, zucchini, tomatoes and local cheeses. Desserts were excellent, queues were minimal, the restaurant was always spotless and the staff were incredibly friendly and professional. The à la carte restaurants were pleasant, mainly because of the atmosphere, table service and sea views, but honestly we didn't feel the food was better than in Enomy. If your priority is great food, the main restaurant already delivers everything you need. Reservations through the Creta Maris app were quick and convenient. The bars offered a good selection of drinks. The only cocktail that disappointed us was the Aperol Spritz, which tasted too diluted every time we ordered it. Cocktails in the other bars were perfectly enjoyable. The aquapark is compact, with around 6–7 slides. Our 10-year-old daughter loved it, but older teenagers may find it too small after a while. The entire resort is beautiful, designed like a traditional Cretan village with lush gardens, picturesque streets and countless photo opportunities. Everything is clean, well maintained and full of character. The pools are plentiful, always clean and suitable for all ages. The entertainment is present but never intrusive, which we really appreciated. The official app is excellent for restaurant reservations and daily activities. The location is another advantage. Hersonissos, the marina, restaurants and shops are only about a 10-minute walk away. Finally, I want to highlight something that impressed us the most. Creta Maris successfully combines a family resort with a peaceful adult-friendly atmosphere. Families have everything they need, while adults looking for a quieter holiday will also feel very comfortable. Finding this balance is not easy, but this hotel does it remarkably well. Would we come back? Absolutely. The hotel still has room for improvement—better control of sunbed reservations, warning signs for the rocks, quieter refrigerators in older rooms and a better Aperol Spritz—but these issues never outweighed the positives. Final rating: 9/10. An excellent family resort with outstanding food, wonderful staff, beautiful surroundings and a genuinely relaxing atmosphere. It was one of our favourite holidays, and I would happily recommend Creta Maris Resort.”
