César Lanzarote Luxury Boutique Hotel is for couples who care about design and calm more than a beachfront address. It is a small, adults-only hotel for guests aged 16 and over, set in a restored historic house on a former farm estate at La Asomada, in the hills inland from Puerto Calero, with views across the island to the sea. Guests speak most warmly about the design and its many thoughtful touches, the friendly staff, the breakfast on the terrace and the sunsets from the infinity pool. The trade-offs are mostly practical. Dinner does not quite reach the level of breakfast, the wifi is weak, and on a rainy day there are few sheltered places to sit.
