“Outstanding service at this tasteful and peaceful hotel. The downsides were that as we were three friends sharing a room, the sofa bed was quite hard and too small to comfortably accommodate anyone of average or taller height. In addition, the food did not blow us away, although the breakfast was good (so breakfast package is recommended!). However, the service was excellent and the staff went the extra mile to make us feel welcome and attended to. The hotel itself is tastefully designed and full of high quality furniture. When we went (in May) there were always enough sun beds and loungers by the beach or pool so it never felt stressful. The location is good, with restaurants and bars in walking distance and near a bus stop that can get you to the nearby towns of Platanias and Chania. I would very much recommend Asterion Suites for anyone who wants a tranquil and relaxed holiday in a lovely setting.”

“We had the most wonderful stay at Asterion Suites & Spa and cannot recommend it enough. If you are looking for a peaceful and beautiful place for a relaxing holiday, this is it. From the moment we arrived, we experienced top-tier service. Every single staff member we met was incredibly pleasant, smiling, and eager to help. The food was absolutely delicious, and the pool bar serves super delicious drinks that you must try! The hotel features a fantastic pool area, and they also have a dedicated, quiet area for guests on the beach which we highly appreciated. Our accommodation was spacious, practical, and beautifully designed. We stayed in a suite with a private rooftop terrace and our own pool, which made our vacation extra special and luxurious. This is a true 10 out of 10 from us. We are already looking forward to our next visit!”

“We’re only on day one of our stay, but we’re already incredibly impressed. The resort has a wonderfully peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, making it the perfect place to unwind. One of the things we’ve loved most is how quiet and intimate it feels. The staff have been exceptional attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming from the moment we arrived. The food has been amazing so far, with excellent quality and plenty of choice at every meal. It’s rare to be this impressed so quickly, but this resort has exceeded our expectations in every way. “Take me back! Beautiful hotel, wonderfully friendly staff and delicious food. The violin player on a Thursday was also exceptional. Chunky, comfortable sunbeds (my favourite kind) and a refreshingly cool pool. Could easily spend all day around and in the pool (not something I usually do on a holiday, but it came naturally here). Very close to the beach, with dedicated sunloungers for hotel guests. The sea was a little choppy when we went but I believe it's usually a bit calmer. Definitely need to wear flip flops down to the water in summer though as sand gets very hot and it's also very pebbled at the edge. The front of house staff were so friendly, nothing was too much trouble, and the lady with the curly hair (sorry I didn't get your name) was so helpful when it came to bus times, trips out and any questions we had. I hurt my ankle on the first day and the team were constantly checking in to make sure it was okay, even after it healed up! A trip into Chania isn't too far or expensive by public bus, and the stop is right outside the hotel. We'd also recommend the tasting tour trip - delicious wine, olives and honey! On our last day we couldn't get a late check out as the room was booked up for another guest after, but we were able to use another room for 45 mins later in the day to shower and change before our flight. We also kept our access to food and drink until our transfer which was much appreciated, and could charge our phones in the lobby. Really well needed relaxing week away and would return. “We have just come back after a week at the Asterion (mid-June), we were all-inclusive and staying in a standard double garden view room. We had a wonderful time. Every member of staff was welcoming, professional, friendly, and helpful from the first minute to the last. Our arrival to the hotel was the most relaxing check-in we have ever had: sat on a sofa with a delicious smoothie drink while all the paperwork was taken care of. After that, there was a lovely little welcome package in our room of fresh fruit and wine. The hotel itself is small and relaxed. If you are looking for a lively night scene, this isn’t for you. If you are looking to lounge by a pool with gentle music or on a quiet beach with spectacular views across the sea then I would recommend it. The all-inclusive package was well worth it for us. A great app for ordering to your sun-bed (at the pool or beach) and a good selection of cocktails, beers and non-alcoholic drinks. The bar staff were great with quick and polite service. Lunchtime was à la carte with a good selection and I recommend the salmon and sea bass. The evening buffets were varied and excellent. There was always something and a good range for all. The pool is small but lovely for a cooling relaxation and when we were there it was always quiet. There is a good variety of beds and while the poolside ones get taken up quickly there are plenty more down on the beach. We always had somewhere nice to sit and sip a mojito. The beach is pebbly (I recommend beach shoes) but nice and with direct access out of the hotel. Our room was a little noisy but it was always clean, had a nice coffee machine, and a well-stocked fridge with fresh water every day along with soft drinks and a couple of beers. We had a perfect week. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt well-looked after and rested.”
