A lovely hotel right in the center of Plaka. We stayed as a family of four in a family suite and were shocked by the generous size of the connecting rooms for a European hotel. The rooms were beautiful, comfortable and clean. Welcome treats on arrival were a nice touch. The location is central to walking to see all of the sites and a short walk from the Parthenon. The staff was friendly and helpful. We didn’t dine in the restaurant although we wish we had tried it. We did stop in for after dinner drinks and dessert and the setting was lovely with live music.

From the start to finish, our stay at Antopology was incredible. Eirini and Niko greeted us and went over and beyond to make our stay amazing. Eirini recommended Mani Mani restaurant which superseded our expectations. We also enjoyed the rooftop terrace in the evening with live cello performance where Vivian happily served us and Maria made the amazing cocktails. The hotel had direct views of the Acropolis. I definitely look forward for our next visit.

We just got back from our stay and Anthology of Athens and I wanted to write a review while the stay was fresh in my mind. The hotel is in a very central location to several historic sites as well as restaurants, shops, etc and easy to find your way back to the hotel - the face of the hotel is right across the street from the Temple of Zeus (amazing). We booked the hotel not only for its sustainability ethos but because of its charming location and hotel design - it did not disappoint. We booked the executive rooms with a view of the Temple of Zeus - the room is virtually soundproof so we had zero issues with noise at night. The breakfast is broad - you order off the menu and can enjoy a daily continental buffet that is self- serve. Fresh juices and cappuccino every day made it hard to come back to reality. We also had dinner there and really enjoyed the menu and the incredible view of the Acropolis while the sun set. The hotel is not large - maybe 5-6 rooms across 5 floors - which provides a rare intimate, familiar experience. The hotel staff - from the restaurant to the reception to the valet were just the nicest and most accommodating - anything you needed they were there to help you. A special thank you to Angeliki who checked in on us throughout our stay - we really appreciated you! 10/10, can't wait to come back. Photo is view of the Acropolis from rooftop restaurant.

We booked a night in early June 2026 for a panorama room with Temple view as stated on the website, it was €1200 a night and we were expecting to see a clear view of the temple of this as advertised on their website and social media accounts. However, upon checking into our room which was on the third floor (there are a total of five floors in the hotel), the temple of Zeus view was completely obstructed by tall trees (you may refer to photos that I took and uploaded) I called front desk immediately to see if we can switch to a different room with an unobstructed view, however the lady (miss olgi I think?) called back and said all rooms were fully booked for the night and she offered us a free dinner at the rooftop restaurant. I rejected this offer as we already had a reservation at another restaurant so then she offered a bottle of wine, which I also rejected as I am currently pregnant. She then tried to offer a transfer to the port for my departure which I thought was not enough to compensate for my loss. Miss olgi said that it was spring time and the trees have grown and it’s not their fault. I went on to explain that the price-tag I am paying for is for the view, and the photo of the website should have been updated if the trees have grown. After 3 hours of negotiation she offered us 20% off the room rate. At this point, we did not care for the compensations anymore as it didn’t feel genuine, and instead we told her to keep the 20% but we would report the hotel to the General Secretariat of Consumers for false and misleading advertising. Disclaimer: we moved to a different hotel and we were fully refunded for the night. If you are booking a room that says with a temple view, definitely make a call to the Hotel before you book to make sure they place you on a higher floor, or have cut the trees. Otherwise, prepared to be disappointed.

This is an exceptionally nice hotel. Central Athens location with views from the restaurant of the Temple of Zeus on one side and the Acropolis on the other. Both a five minute walk away. The room was very nice, well equipped and very clean. The food was of a high standard. Best of the lot....the staff! Outstanding service and friendliness from every one of them, thank you. Highly recommended.
