Tripplo's verdict, based on guest reviews

Tripplo’s analysis · Updated 20 October 2026 · How we review hotels

ADLER Thermae is one of the more family-friendly choices in this list, with a dedicated kids club alongside its thermal pools and valley views. Wellness access is all-inclusive, and the hotel offers free daily excursions and bike rentals, positioning it as a workable base for visiting several Tuscan hill towns. The property sits outside the nearest village centre, so a car is useful, and the countryside setting adds to that need. Overall pricing follows a resort-style model that reflects the breadth of facilities on offer, from pools to excursions.

Tucked into the rolling hills of Val D'Orcia near San Quirico d'Orcia, ADLER Thermae pairs thermal bathing with an active, nature-oriented program of hikes, bike rides, and Tuscan gastronomy. It suits couples and families seeking a wellness-focused base for exploring nearby towns like Pienza and Montalcino without sacrificing daily comfort or spa access.

Guests score it 9.2 out of 10 — the average across the 17 hotels we list in Tuscany is 9.3.

  • Over 305 m² of indoor and outdoor thermal pools overlook the Val D'Orcia countryside, giving guests a rare combination of therapeutic bathing and scenic Tuscan panoramas year-round.
  • The room rate covers pool access, saunas, gym, yoga, and daily snacks, removing the usual à la carte spa charges found at comparable properties.
