King Jason Zante – Designed for Adults

5-Star Hotel
King Jason Zante sits on the hillside at Planos, above Tsilivi Bay on the north-east coast of Zakynthos. The five-star Louis Hotels resort is adults-only and built around water: swim-up suites open onto shared pools, the Island Suites have pools of their own, and the main pool covers 660 m². Three restaurants — the Watergarden main restaurant, Haroub for Levantine food and Pisco for Peruvian fusion — sit alongside the Purai Spa with sauna, steam room and a heated hydro pool. Rates are sold on bed and breakfast or as the resort's Lifestyle All-In package. Planos Beach is a short walk downhill and Zakynthos airport about nine kilometres away.

Tripplo's verdict, based on guest reviews

By Axel Hernborg · Updated 11 September 2026 · How we review hotels

King Jason Zante is a new five-star adults-only resort from Louis Hotels at Planos, above Tsilivi Bay. It scores 9.7 on Booking from 101 reviews, where guests single out the staff, the food across three restaurants and suites with direct pool access. The resort sits on a slope rather than on the sand, so the beach means a short walk, and its review base is still small next to the island's longer-established hotels.

An adults-only Louis Hotels resort on the slope above Tsilivi Bay, where many suites open straight onto the water — swim-up pools for most, private pools in the Island Suites. Three restaurants and a spa keep couples on site; the beach is a short walk downhill.

Guests score it 9.7 out of 10 — the average across the 12 hotels we list in Zakynthos is 9.3.

  • Swim-up and private-pool suites
  • Three restaurants: Levantine, Peruvian fusion and a main restaurant
  • Purai Spa with sauna, steam room and heated hydro pool
  • Adults-only throughout

What an amazing hotel! Stunning views and the friendliest team made this holiday so relaxing. We stayed in a garden suite which was very spacious with a stunning Seaview beyond the garden. With the doors fully opened and the fan on you get a gorgeous breeze and stunning views from the room. The food was delicious, not too much choice in the buffet which meant the quality was decent. There’s a temperature controlled room for salads and the wine cellar is a must for a bottle after dinner. We ate in the Haroub daytime restaurant a few times, food cooked to order and plenty of it. The Levantine restaurant was our favourite for the evening. There were plenty of sunbeds available and always a table to sit at in the evening. It’s just a very chilled relaxing place to be. And of course George and his infamous omelettes in the morning, walking around chatting with the guests and making sure everyone’s having a great time. Far too many other names to mention, but everyone goes above and beyond.

We have just finished an excellent week at the fantastic King Jason Zante and cannot recommend it highly enough. I stay in hotels all over the world and this one definitely deserves it’s 5 stars. The facilities were excellent, the food was wonderful, and the rooms were absolutely excellent — modern, spotless, and very comfortable throughout our stay. What really made the holiday special was the outstanding customer service from all of the staff, who were friendly, attentive, and always happy to help. Special mentions must go to George, the Operations Manager, whose great sense of humour and omelette making skills kept everyone smiling, Stefano, the Bar Manager, who was fantastic and equally entertaining, as well as Victoria in the bar and Dimitri in the restaurant and Akshay who did absolutely everything for their exceptional service and friendliness. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for making our holiday so memorable. We will definitely be returning!

Our path to 10 sunny June days at King Jason (all inclusive in a private pool suite) was from an AI search a year before. I asked perplexity for somewhere similar to the Maldives within 3 or 4 hours flight time from London and this seemed to be the closest match While it never QUITE reaches those standards, the King Jason is one of the nicest hotel experiences we have had in Europe First, the room, was great, offering a consistently sound nights sleep due to its comfy wide beds, modern effective and quiet air conditioning. The room servicing was done daily to a very high standard. The private pool, floating sun-bed and terrace was wonderful especially in the afternoons when in shade. Secondly, the food was good, sometimes great. Pasta is something I particularly recommend always cooked to perfection with very tasty accompaniments. Booking at the table service restaurants was an odd experience, on our day of arrival there was very little availability on the app. Advice on this is to persevere and ask at reception, don’t try and email in advance they won’t let you book before arrival Thirdly, the communal pool areas are wonderful spots to sit and do nothing, swim, read a book, chill. There is plenty of availability of comfy sunbeds and day-beds. At times, you can be the only person in the pool. The playlist down at the lower pool we enjoyed and set the tone. We would have preferred the opening hours of this bar to be extended earlier and later and have food available. It’s actually not possible to get food (apart from ice cream) at any of the pools, so you have to up-root to one of the restaurants if you want to eat. Pro-tip: pocket the packets of nuts they give you in the evening at the bar and take them to the pool the next day The staff at the hotel all seemed to genuinely want you to have the best experience. When you see a great team effort it seems a shame to call one person out, but the lady who services drinks at the lower pool might be one of the hardest working people I have ever witnessed. Always with a smile It IS the people that make the place, but the hotel can’t do anything about the average demographic attracted to King Jason. It’s probably unsurprising that an adults only resort attracts what I would describe as newly-weds and nearly-deads. The latter very much more the case than the former. If you are ever in a position to offer a youngster guidance on whether a tattoo is wise in the long term, send them here Finally, as other reviewers have mentioned, entertainment remains the biggest area of improvement. I was wondering if this might be an intentional economic decision by the Louis Group. If the majority of guests are all-inclusive then keeping them out drinking harms the profit line. That might be a little short sighted if it IS the case as may affect repeat trade, as it would do in our particular case If you are looking for something more lively you can take the 15 min walk down to Tsilivi where Greek hospitality continues to be ever present. The hill back is not much fun, especially in the day so “location” is an area where you might score the resort down In summary, I would recommend coming here, and with a few small improvements could be a place I would like to return

Me and my boyfriend have just come back from the most amazing holiday at the King Jason. The superior suite with a swim up pool was absolutely immaculate with the most insane views. The food selection was perfect and the staff were so attentive. George made sure to check on us at every breakfast and dinner to ensure our stay was nothing short of perfect. I cannot fault anything and I cannot wait to return. Thanks for everything!

Absolutely incredible stay — a true five-star experience from start to finish. The service was exceptional throughout, with every staff member going above and beyond to make our stay special. The rooms were stunning, the pools were fantastic, and the views were simply breathtaking. The food was outstanding across the board, and a special mention has to go to George and Adonis, who were both phenomenal — incredibly attentive, friendly, and made every meal even more enjoyable. Couldn’t recommend this hotel highly enough — we’ll definitely be back.
