“We had a wonderful stay at the Amstel Hotel Amsterdam. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. Room service was quick and efficient, and the breakfast was excellent, with a great selection of food. The location is fantastic just outside the busy city center, offering a peaceful atmosphere while still being very well connected. A metro station is only a 2 minute walk away, making it easy to explore Amsterdam. The room was comfortable and clean. The only issue we experienced was with the TV, which kept turning on by itself every few minutes. Aside from this minor inconvenience, everything else was excellent. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend this hotel.”

“My friend and I chose this hotel because of its excellent location and the high standards from the InterContinental brand. We had a very pleasant stay and spent a few wonderful days here. The housekeeping staff were exceptionally kind and friendly, and the breakfast was excellent, made even better by the beautiful view of the Amstel River. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was beautiful, cozy, and well maintained. The breakfast team was professional, attentive, and welcoming throughout our stay. Special thanks to Milena and a blond young man from the front office team (I’m not sure whether he was a bellboy or a receptionist), both of whom assisted us greatly during our stay. Overall, we had a very enjoyable experience. We would definitely recommend this hotel, and if we return to Amsterdam, it will certainly be our first choice again.”

“We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the InterContinental Amstel Amsterdam. The occasion was extra special - we celebrated a wedding during our visit, and the entire team made it truly memorable. The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive throughout our stay. We were even kindly permitted to moor our boat nearby, which was a lovely and thoughtful touch we greatly appreciated. The bar was a perfect spot to relax and enjoy time with friends - great atmosphere and wonderful service. Our room was spotless - a sincere thank you to the Housekeeping team for maintaining such high standards. Breakfast was outstanding. Everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The service at the restaurant was warm and professional, and I would like to extend a special thank you to the F&B Manager personally - you have built a truly impressive team. “A wonderful experience from start to finish. The location is superb, offering a privileged view over the canal and a truly relaxing atmosphere. The service is attentive, professional, and thoughtful without ever being intrusive. The cocktails are excellent, the wine selection is carefully curated, and the food is consistently good and well presented. This is definitely a place for those who don’t mind spending a little more for quality, but the overall experience makes it worthwhile. Highly recommended for a special evening or a memorable meal by the water.”

“My best friend and I were hoping to enjoy an afternoon tea at the Amstel Hotel, a place we had heard wonderful things about. The setting seemed perfect : elegant, refined, and in line with the image the hotel projects. However, upon our arrival, we were simply told there were no available seats, with no alternative offered and no solution suggested. We were essentially asked to leave, which left us standing there with no assistance and feeling quite unwelcome. While we fully understand that the establishment may be fully booked, we were genuinely surprised that a hotel of such standing wouldn’t show more consideration for visitors, even those just passing by. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet the level of elegance we were expecting.”
