“The most breathtaking hotel in the world Having stayed at Il San Pietro for many years, it remains an absolute favorite of mine and quite simply one of the most incredible hotels I have ever visited. Nestled into the cliffs of Positano, the arrival sets the tone for the entire experience: arriving at the bottom by boat straight from Capri, then ascending right up through the heart of the cliff via their iconic elevator into paradise. Every single detail of this family-run hotel is executed to perfection. The family and their team do an extraordinary job, remaining consistently hospitable, genuinely kind, and wonderfully welcoming year after year. The amenities are second to none. They feature a massive organic garden where they grow all of their own vegetables, which are then used in the incredible hotel meals. There is a fantastic tennis court, and down at the bottom of the cliff sits the most breathtaking sun lounge area I have ever seen in my life—the perfect spot to watch the yachts go by or arrange to take one of the hotel's boats out on the water. If you are looking for luxury, charm, and unmatched Italian hospitality, Il San Pietro is truly peerless. An unforgettable experience from start to finish!”

“I think this must be the loveliest hotel in the world. The people who work here provide the warmest hospitality you can imagine. Many of the guests are from New York and have been coming back for years. We have met nice people both times we were lucky enough to stay. The view from the terrace and the rooms is unparalleled. It truly feels magical. And the beach club is incredible as well. I hesitate to submit this review because it is already difficult to find availability in the summer for il San pietro and I desperately want to come back!! But they deserve all of the praise I could give. Thank you, il San pietro for another wonderful stay!!”

“We stayed here 3 nights for our honeymoon and had an amazing time! They provided a special gift to take home since we were celebrating our honeymoon. All the staff was extremely helpful and pleasant and helped us navigate weather related challenges. We did the cooking class, pizza making, cocktail making which were all wonderful! We also played in the amazing tennis court right near the water which was beautiful. They also have their own private beach club which is plus if you want to avoid the crowded areas. We also dined at Zass and Il Carlino (the two on-site restaurants) which were very good. The hotel provides shuttle service to Positano city center and water taxi to the main Positano beach as well which was very convenient. Breakfast is included and the best of what we had in our time in Italy. All the rooms, restaurants, and common areas all have stunning views of either Positano or Praiano. Unfortunately we didn’t get to do the boat cruise because of bad weather / sea conditions during our stay. We truly had the best time staying at this property and really appreciated all the staff for making it such a memorable stay. Will definitely need to come back, highly recommend!”

But honestly, Andrea and team have curated an experience at Il San Pietro that makes you want to never leave. “Best hotel in Amalfi, the service was incredible, everyone knew who you were and what you needed. The hotel itself was amazing, great views and immaculate taste. The restaurant staff was great, they were very professional and personable. ( Ivan and cossimo) The waiters at the beach club and pool were always on top of their game.( pascual, Luigi and sábado) The boutique store attendee was so nice and attentive. We also took a tennis lesson with a great instructor. The tennis court is the most beautiful in all Europe. At the front desk, Rosella and Mena were amazing too, Rosella was able to get us reservations post departure at a super booked restaurant in Capri. 100% recommend!”
