Hotel Verte, Warsaw, Autograph Collection

“I recently stayed at the Hotel Verte in Warsaw for three nights. The hotel has gorgeous architecture and is conveniently located near Old Town, with just a five-minute walk to the main Old Town sights. The rooms were quite spacious, with comfortable beds and a large bathroom. Everything felt luxurious and each day we were so excited to return to our hotel for the evening. As for food and drink, we enjoyed the daily breakfast plus evening drinks on the garden patio. This breakfast here was incredible, with a wide variety of items on the buffet plus and extensive menu of made-to-order items. The Turkish eggs were some of the best I have had! For this trip, I stayed with a friend, and we each booked our own separate room. While the rooms weren't connected, they were in a separated area behind a key-access door. It felt secluded and special for us. Every detail of this hotel is well-thought through and the architecture was stunning. As we continued our trip beyond Warsaw, we still kept talking about how amazing Hotel Verte was. I hope to have the chance to return here, and no doubt any client would find it amazing. The only (tiniest) detail that could be a downside is that the wing we stayed in was nearby a tram railway, and occasionally you feel/hear the rumble of the tram. This did not impact me negatively during my stay, but I can imagine for someone who wants a perfectly silent room, this may be a bother. It maybe just be where my particular room was situated, but I cannot say if it is the same throughout the entire property.”

“Fantastic hotel in the heart of old town Warsaw. Stayed here for one night. The hotel has authentic old world charm. It can be considered palatial. The room was beautiful. Service was top notch, including room service for dinner. The hotel is steps away from the Royal Castle and Castle square which has some of the best attractions in the city. It is also very close to some of the modern sections of the city with high end stores not far off. Most of the sightseeing and outings that I did were done on foot. This hotel is definitely recommended for stays in the center of Warsaw.”

“Hotel Verte, spread across two beautifully restored 18th-century palaces, is absolutely stunning both inside and out. Its architecture and interior design are exceptional, and there are already plenty of photos online, so I'll only add a few of my own, the spa and gym. Unfortunately, my stay in the suite fell short in several respects. As a Marriott Titanium member, I was surprised that I had to wait until the very end of the published check-in time—and even a bit beyond—to receive my room. Even more disappointing was finding several dust bunnies around the desk area, while the toilet area had an unpleasant odor that suggested it had not been thoroughly cleaned after the previous guest. To the staff's credit, they addressed the issue promptly, but it would have been better if it had not occurred in the first place. I stayed in Suite 103, located at the top of the staircase near the reception desk. Because of its location, the room is quite noisy, particularly for guests who prefer to retire earlier in the evening. On the positive side, the sauna and steam bath facilities are spectacular. Most of the time, I had the entire spa to myself, making it a wonderfully relaxing experience. There was, however, one small disappointment: one morning I requested that the sauna be turned on in advance, only to discover an hour later—after arriving in my robe and slippers—that the request had apparently been overlooked, and the sauna was still cold. The breakfast area was another highlight of my stay. The dining room is bright and inviting, with beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows that fill the space with natural light. The tables are generously spaced, creating a calm and comfortable atmosphere. The made-to-order egg dishes were among the best I have ever had at any hotel, and the chef deserves my highest compliments. Breakfast at 6:30 each morning was truly one of the pleasures of my stay. Despite the shortcomings I experienced, Hotel Verte is an impressive property with tremendous potential. With more consistent housekeeping, greater attention to guest requests, and quieter room assignments for those who value an early night's sleep, it would easily rank among my favorite Marriott properties.”

“I had the worst five-star hotel experience of my life at Hotel Verte Warsaw. After a booking error, a young bald man at about 4 pm, which is when I checked-in pulled a bait-and-switch, charging a predatory 2,000 PLN for a noisy, subpar room by reception without suggesting or letting me see it first (I thought it would be at least on a higher floor or in a different location, not bordering a loud street, as if the hotel reception wasn’t loud enough). Even if inventory was low, charging multiple times its value for an emergency room is unacceptable. They then intentionally ghosted Expedia's calls to lock the charge in overnight. At 3:00 AM, the clerk gave a cheap excuse that they didn't want to "disturb" me just to avoid moving me into the higher-category room I actually paid for. While they finally refunded the second night after talking with the senior assistant in the morning, they did it in a shady way via a simple email to me instead of updating Expedia, which is where I booked my stay, forcing me to talk with Expedia support for hours to prove the cancellation. To make it worse, they provided no folio or receipt at checkout, which speaks to a severe lack of financial transparency, especially since my deposit covered my room use and I was supposed to get some money back, but after my experience here I realized arguing was futile. The only way to work around this is to contact your card provider and label certain activities here as fraud. Finally, the taxi they set up at the end, I thought, in a five-star hotel was complimentary, only for the driver to overcharge me twice and be incredibly rude (I had to contact my bank and get the main bulk of the money back). Overall, the constant lying of practically all members of this hotel, especially at the front desk and the silence from the general manager, after I reached out with a more in-depth emails speaks volumes. Especially the constant lying and cupidity was really shocking, especially in a beautiful and dignified country like Poland. This hotel and its members are utterly disgraceful. Avoid.”
