Hotel Croatia Cavtat

“★★★★☆ A beautiful hotel in a fantastic setting, surrounded by mature trees and greenery. The design is brutalist and stylish, and our superior room was clean, comfortable and well maintained. One of the highlights is the direct access to the sea, which is excellent for swimming, as well as the outdoor pool surrounded by trees. The hotel is also very close to Cavtat, where there is a great selection of restaurants and a lovely waterfront. The breakfast buffet at the hotel was very good, with plenty of choice, and the Spinnaker restaurant on the waterfront was excellent. All of the staff we encountered were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. One thing to be aware of is that the hotel is set above Cavtat, with a fairly steep hill and a number of steps between the town and the hotel. This wasn’t a problem for us, but it may not be ideal for anyone with limited mobility. The only minor negative was that the air conditioning in our room was a little noisy, particularly at night. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and would happily recommend Hotel Croatia for its beautiful setting, excellent facilities, friendly staff and proximity to Cavtat.”

“The hotel was good in all, room was good, food was good, nice view from my room, but the reason i rate this hotel 3 stars is because the Wi-Fi is really slow, and the middle elevator was closed during my entire stay and the other elevators are slower than my grandma up the stairs. I request to go up, i enter elevator and a woman is going all the way down,then on the way up there are countless stops. Better of taking the stairs from R to 9th floor.”

“We had an amazing stay at Hotel Croatia Cavtat. Our deluxe room with sea view and balcony was absolutely beautiful, and the views over the sea were breathtaking. Being able to see the coastline, some of the Croatian islands, and the sunset every night made the whole stay feel really special.. The room itself was lovely and had everything we needed, and the robes and slippers were a really nice touch. The hotel was clean, very nice throughout, and the staff were amazing, always friendly, polite and kind, and nothing was too much trouble.. We also really enjoyed the food, and the Spinnaker restaurant was especially good, the food there was amazing, really fresh and very well done.. The only disappointment for us was the Spinnaker bar, as it didn’t really look like the pictures online. The relaxing, romantic setting shown in the photos was part of what sold the hotel to us, so that was a bit disappointing.. Even with that, we still had a fantastic experience overall and would definitely recommend it..”

“Pleasant but rather expensive hotel located not far from Dubrovnik and the airport. There are definitely some strong highlights. The staff were very friendly and accommodating - they even allowed me to check in much earlier than the official check-in time at no extra cost, which was a great start. The room had an incredible sea view, and the hotel itself offers plenty of scenic viewpoints and restaurants across the property. The pool area is truly impressive, and the sauna and spa facilities add a lot to the overall experience. A very nice touch was receiving small sweets before bedtime - simple, but memorable. The hotel is well-equipped for both leisure and business stays. In addition to bars, cafés, and even a souvenir shop, I attended a conference there, and the venue proved to be very suitable for large events, with plenty of business and meeting spaces. As for the downsides, prices are definitely on the higher side - both for the rooms and for dining within the hotel. While the rooms are comfortable, they are relatively small and not particularly exceptional for the price. The Wi-Fi was surprisingly weak, and the breakfasts were somewhat underwhelming - especially compared to significantly cheaper hotels in Dubrovnik where I’ve had much better breakfast experiences. Overall, the hotel lives up to its standard and offers a solid option for both a relaxing stay and a business trip - just be prepared for the high price tag.”

“Fellow world travelers do you long for a stay at a unique property? It doesn't get more interesting than this. This hotel built in the early 1970s has got to be your destination. If you're a concrete lover, you will love this joint. Cold war era architecture at its finest. The crazy part is it does not feel like an old hotel. The breakfast dining room size speaks of its heritage. You are well treated by the staff. If you have a rental car they will park it for you. I would stay here again without a second thought. The hotel rooms feel very contemporary and modern.”
