“I have stayed at hundreds of hotels, and Roman was the best hotel staff member I have ever had. He is attentive, and caring. My fiancee left her glasses on a Helicopter and he went and chased them down just to get her glasses. Above and beyond, the whole hotel was great and I was very happy with our experience. Thank you all for making it very special.”

“Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay with some genuinely standout aspects, but there are also a few areas where a five-star hotel charging premium rates could improve significantly. Pros: • The staff were incredibly welcoming and polite throughout our stay, and the concierge team in particular were fantastic. • The room itself was excellent — spotless, well maintained. We especially appreciated the turndown service and the small hotel gifts, which added a personal touch. The bath towels and robes were a little dated however. • The hotel grounds were absolutely stunning. Everything was beautifully maintained and created a peaceful atmosphere. The complimentary boat service to the sister hotel was also a lovely addition and made exploring the area feel seamless and enjoyable. • Breakfast offered a good variety each morning, particularly the fresh fruits, meats, and cheeses. There was enough choice to keep things interesting and overall the quality was good. • The pool area was one of the highlights of the stay. It was calm, relaxing, and never felt overcrowded. The heated pool was especially enjoyable, and swimming while overlooking the sea made for a really memorable experience. Cons: • One downside of the hotel being quite quiet during our stay was that the atmosphere occasionally felt a little lacking, and at times the staff presence felt too minimal. On several occasions we were left waiting around in the restaurant, bar, or pool area for someone to assist us. While we appreciate the WhatsApp concierge service, in a five-star hotel you still expect visible and proactive staff presence without needing to message someone for basic service. • The gym could definitely use improvement. The layout of the weights area felt awkward and cramped, and the air conditioning was nowhere near strong enough for a workout environment. It would also benefit from having heavier weights available, as anything above 10kg was missing. • The food at dinner unfortunately did not match the prices being charged. While presentation was nice, the portion sizes were extremely small and we often left dinner still feeling hungry. For a luxury hotel, we expected a much better balance between quality, quantity, and value for money. • We were also surprised that snacks or smaller bites were not available around the pool area. Although there is a poolside restaurant, sometimes guests simply want something light while relaxing on a lounger rather than sitting down for a full meal. • Finally, the additional charges felt excessive and honestly quite disappointing given the already expensive room rates. Charging extra for eggs at breakfast was particularly surprising. We also found it frustrating that items such as water and beach towels were treated as additional costs. At this level of hotel, these feel like basic inclusions rather than optional extras. Reading previous reviews afterwards, it seems we were not alone in feeling that these extra charges come across as unnecessarily cheeky.”

“For the price point, expected a bit more. Wonderful service and food though something that always annoyed me at certain high end hotels is why they still want to charge for additional water. 15 euros for eggs at breakfast. Or a beach towel for 7 euros a day. People paying 1200 Euros a night can afford it but it leaves a bad taste in the mouth, especially with other high end who often include all mini bar free etc. Would have rather have just paid 1250 and have it all included. Location was lovely west facing for sunset. Rooms nice but not really worth that price point.”

“Nothing special Expected more but it’s ok or slightly less It’s my first time in Corsica and I wish I tried a different hotel. (Especially with the price point it’s not supposed to be just ok) There is no beaches in the hotel but there is in there sister hotel I honestly would have gave them 2 stars if it’s not for the lady who drive the boat to take us there ,I added the third star . I feel like I didn’t experience the magic of Corsica which is very disappointing if I am ever coming back it will definitely not be in this hotel . Only good thing rooms are good and the cleanliness. Reception only two helpful welcoming ladies ( Only two ladies were helpful, the rest didn’t seem interested )”

“5 star setting. 1 star delivery. This hotel charges outrageous prices for what it delivers. Then charges extra for water in the room €11, a cooked egg at breakfast €15, a towel for the beach €7. The tiny mini bar is €10 for water. The staff are embarrassed and apologetic but the management continue to try and fleece their customers at every possible turn despite charging £1300 for a very basic, small room per night. Absolutely do not recommend. The setting is beautiful but the hotel is very poor.”
