Rentcars Discount Codes & Deals
Rentcars is a car hire comparison and booking site that lists more than 350 hire companies in over 7,000 cities, including Enterprise, Europcar, Hertz, Avis, Sixt, National and Alamo. You compare rates on rentcars.com and book through Rentcars, which then passes the booking to the hire company. Rentcars does not publish a public discount code. Its help centre explains that codes come through promotions, newsletters and referrals, only work with online payment and cannot be combined with cashback. The savings you can see on the site are promotions run with individual hire companies, such as up to 20% off with Cael in Portugal, up to 7% off with National in the UK and Europe, and a free additional driver with Arnold Clark, plus newsletter discounts of up to 30%. Rentcars also has a RentRewards cashback scheme, but bookings made through links from partner websites that offer benefits do not earn cashback, so we only mention it in the FAQ. How to save on Rentcars without a discount code▼
- Filter for promotions. Rentcars lets you filter search results to show only cars with a promotion, and the discount is already included in the price shown.
- Watch the booking deadline. Each hire company promotion has a date by which the booking must be confirmed, and some also have a pick-up window. Check both before you pay.
- Count the extras. A free additional driver or zero deductible can be worth more than a small percentage off the daily rate if you share the driving.
- Sign up for the newsletter. Rentcars promises exclusive promotions and discounts of up to 30% to subscribers; codes only work with online payment.
- Check the cancellation terms. Outside Brazil, free cancellation may be allowed up to 48 hours before pick-up. After that, Rentcars may keep 20% and the hire company more.

Official offer means the promotion is published on rentcars.com and we read its conditions there on the date shown next to each one. We only quote percentages as Rentcars states them, and we show the booking deadline as the end date. Cashback is not listed as an offer because Rentcars excludes bookings made through partner links.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a Rentcars discount code?▼
Not a public one. Rentcars does not publish a discount code on its site. According to its help centre, discount codes come from the promotions page, newsletter sign-ups, the RentRewards referral programme and the app, are valid only for online payment on the website or app, and cannot be combined with cashback or other active promotions. The discounts you can use without a code are the hire company promotions listed on this page, which Rentcars says are already included in the price shown. If Rentcars publishes a real code, we will add it here with its source.
Do I get RentRewards cashback if I book through Tripplo?▼
No. Rentcars' help centre says that reservations made through links from partner websites that offer benefits, such as discounts, are not eligible to earn cashback. That includes bookings made after clicking through from a site like ours. Rentcars' rewards page says you can normally earn up to 10% cashback on eligible bookings made directly on rentcars.com or in its app, so if cashback matters more to you than the offers below, book directly.
Is there an Enterprise discount on Rentcars?▼
Rentcars lists two Enterprise promotions on its Enterprise page: a free Easy Toll Pass, and zero deductible with a free additional driver. The page gives no dates or countries for either, so check that the promotion tag shows on the car you choose before you book.
Can I cancel a Rentcars booking for free?▼
Often, but not always. For pick-ups outside Brazil, Rentcars says free cancellation may be allowed up to 48 hours before the scheduled pick-up time, and that it is no longer possible after the pick-up time. Rentcars may keep 20% of the total booking value when the conditions are not met, and the hire company may keep up to 100%. Refunds go back to your card or are issued as a credit voucher within 5 calendar days.
Is there a Rentcars discount for government employees or NHS staff?▼
No. We found no discount for government employees, NHS staff or Blue Light card holders on rentcars.com. Some hire companies run their own schemes, but Rentcars does not list them.
Does Rentcars have a best price guarantee?▼
Only for Brazil. Rentcars' help centre says its Best Price Guarantee is available exclusively to customers residing in Brazil, so it does not apply if you live in the UK.
