Frequently Asked Questions
Choose Hvar Town for the historic setting, rooftop bars and harbour life, or a cove near Stari Grad for a more secluded, resort feel with nature on your doorstep.
May to June and September to October offer warm seas, fewer crowds and better prices. April tends to be the cheapest, though the weather is less settled than later in the spring.
The peak summer weeks often require four to six months' notice. The most sought-after hotels and room categories are best reserved six to ten months ahead.
Smart casual is the norm in the evenings. Swimwear and beach attire are kept to the pool and beach club.
Several resorts cater well to families, with children's menus and activities on offer, while certain town-centre properties and adults-only hotels are geared primarily towards guests travelling without children.
