Table of contents
1. The Randolph Hotel
We’re starting this one off in a classy hotel that is sure to please anyone that loves luxury that is a little more subtle in its presentation.
The Randolph Hotel is a beloved hotel by locals and visitors to the city alike, having been running in the city centre for decades at this point.

Not only is the Randolph Hotel the same establishment, but it’s also better than ever!
From the dramatic stained glass entrance, you’re welcomed into a subtle, yet still dramatic lounge and reception area.
Everything has been done to retain the original old-world English character, from the wooden panelling of the old Morse Bar to the decorative furnishings that you’ll find across the building.
And, of course, there are the rooms that you’ll be staying in! Every room in this amazing establishment has matching floral floors, luxuriously comfortable beds, gorgeous white Victorian-esque baths, and even wooden
Plus, there’s also the Alice restaurant that you’ll find on-site. Comfortable, yet still incredibly classy, you’ll find yourself in the lap of luxury with this restaurant, especially with its amazing menu.

2. Old Parsonage Hotel
Now, if it’s a hotel with a history that you’re looking for, you can’t do much better than the Old Parsonage Hotel.
And when they say ‘old’ here, they mean old. The original building that the hotel is based in was built back in 1660. That’s older than the United States, for crying out loud!
You’d think that a building this old, even with all the modernization in the world, might struggle to accommodate guests. However, that couldn’t be further from the truth!
Each room at the Old Parsonage comes equipped with an en suite bathroom, desk, flat-screen TV, and air conditioning. So you’re certainly not struggling to feel at home in the 21st century here!
Plus, the hotel has 2 terraces for guests to sit and lounge on a library, and an amazing grill restaurant and bar, which can sit up to 20 private guests at any time.
The fact that this hotel serves a proper English breakfast until late is just the cherry on top (or perhaps bacon is more appropriate here).
The hotel can even host small wedding ceremonies, with up to 20 guests being able to see a happy couple get married here.
Plus, being just 5 minutes away from Oxford city centre means that you’ll never be far away from something to do during your stay, from Oxford Castle and Prison to the Oxford Playhouse, one of the best theatres in the country.
